ok, does anyone here know alot or anything about Phreaking?

Hallo, Unfortunately phreaking is dead. (At least in the states) The last line went digital (cant use freq's to change anything) Last june. Not sure how it is in the UK. But i am sure they are going digital as well. Sorry mate.

is there anything out there like it...like an evolved form or something?

if not...i'd like so backround info, and the basis of the concepts...

CaptPostMod got it already. Wiki is amazing. there was another site a while back 2600uk i think that had some good articles on it. I guess maybe the 'advanced' form would be hacking? Computers are all that are open now. I got into it right at the decline, just before the last line went digital, and that was upsetting. A lot of old articles (phrack) had how to build boxes for phreaking. But useless now.

Nope. The only person i have known is Cap'n Crunch (hero)[never talked to him personally tho]. I self taught and just looked at a bunch of articles. Im not one for personal talk with much people, "Im not so bad once you get to know me" But I am young, and just got into it at its decline so yea. If you want to talk to me outside of forum, just PM me and ill get to you on MSN or something. Salaam
