Can we say that real life is just another Matrix?

Are we tied down by the same rules?

Yes you can say that. Its what a great part of philosophy is all about (Who are we? What are we? What are we here to do? Who created us? etc. etc.).
I dont know exactly what you mean with "tied by the same rules" ? If you are talking about the rules Neo brakes inside the Matrix like gravity, seeing the matrix in code etc. We only know so little about the human brain perhaps its possible. Intell, Gina Rink and a lot of others at this forum know a great deal about different methods/schools of spiritualism.

We are not tied down, we are agreed to. Reality is what is agreed upon. You exist in it because you choose to play the game.

Knowing this leads you towards the Path. The Path has many branches, and it can lead you to play the game better (supreme ability) or to stop playing the game at all (insanity). But it's in front of you if you want to step on it.

If we are not tied down by the same rules then why is it the we always seek an enemy that is not there? We make enemies out of friends. Why is that?

The rules are there, we just have the ability to choose to follow them or not. But it's a game. Rarely are you forced at gunpoint to play basketball (and even when you are the choice still exists, it's just a more severe one). At any time while playing basketball, you could just carry the ball, you could take the ball and run up into the bleachers, you could sit in the middle of the court and meditate. But how would that appear to the others playing the game? The rules are not binding, they are just necessary if you wish to stay in communication with the other participants in the game.

Why do we make enemies out of friends? What is the invisible foe? Call it ego, call it Reactive Mind, call it Satan, it is the part of ourselves that is certain it exists in this game and continues to think into creation these rules (after all, what makes a boundary line in basketball "real" if not thought).

That could be true if you put it in that form, but it all depends on the persons way of thinking.I for one look at the world as a box that is broken into pices that must be united. To do that one must frist know what is wrong.

I can not speak for you are anyone eles but if I was held at gun point and was theaten to play basketball I would set there for if it was my faith to die there why run from it.What would you do?
