UM. So Far this is the dumbest thing on the site.

1) This ignorant statement is ONLY created from the p.o.v. of someone within the times of 1950-2000.

2) This idea clearly does NOT fit, because by the time "01" had began to conquer earth, are start the matrix idea, people of the earth by thattime had ALLREADY been mixed, and living lavish lifestyle's of self vanity, because the A.I. became the new Minority.

And the "Second Rennaisance" shows that people were'nt consumed or fueld by race, nor was there a need to be.

There is nothing in the film short that shows that the majority of African's in general are suffereing by today's standards. The Matrix was created AFTER OUR (perhaps) FUTURE. So you can just assume that what you see in todays world is the same as the humans future in this story. Infact you'd be more correct to assume that since it was the 22nd century a great deal had changed.

So all that low income crap just does not play into the spectrum of things. And on top of that it's just an Ignorant rant, which I was dissapointed to see, when you could have taken a better route which I'll shed light to in a sec, but I also want to point out.

DONTCHA THINK? That EVEN in the Matrix, it would be possible for the machines to create-or re-recreate the conditions of the 20th century? Which would include poverty, and the likes??? Just because one is in the Matrix, does not mean they're living the dream LIFE! That is a poor misconception. Infact it shows lack of knowledge of the movie. The main message that everyone should understand about the matrix is that, the REAL world is not real. The real world includes everything..INCLUDING...low income and Starving. So in conclusion..with Africans of all kinds in the Matrix,..according to this stupid theory...THEY WOULD'NT BE MISSING OUT ON WHAT THEY'RE USED TO...

Anyhow you could have rooted something up, which goes hand in hand with the entire story....Slavery. There's a topic to thrive on. Here's an Idea Perhaps, within the 20th Century African's are ALLREADY being slaved, and the continuation through the 100 years is based on Slavery...
SO...for the Matrix to Simulate SLAVERY of African's...ON TOP OF...LITERALLY Enslaving All Humans(which include African's) then the Effect PERHAPS could be a SIMPLE case of "2 negatives make a positive". African's would be "doubly slaved" if you will, canceling out the Programs control over them.

I'll leave it a that, I'll not go into further detail, maybe you word it out better than I,..but that's the Base Idea I think the whole race theory should have went.

Why ignorant? The newest stats show that 10.4% of the 25- to 29-years old black males have been in prisons in the year 2002 (in the US).

the fist time that i saw this issue raised i thought it was just a simple joke but the way you people go on about it is like it is life and death.
first of all you have to realise that there ARE more black people in the world and although there aren't as many white people in the world in Britain there is a growing concern with the about the unemployments of white people even though it is a predominately white based country has only recently (in the last half decade) come to terms with the acceptance of other races

The amount of black people in prisons in America are high and the first thing you have to ask yourself is why?

it certainly doesn't have anything to do with RACISM in groups like KKK neither does it have anything to do with hate crime and racial abuse not just to black but to asians in again a solely white based country.

The only problem I have with the black and white analysis is that it's wrong. Smith tells Morpheus in M1 that humans define their reality in terms of suffering, and that it is the suffering, the imperfectios, that prevent our "primative cerebrum" from waking up. Therefore, it is those who are living the happiest lives who are most likely to wake-up.
