Hello all, nice to be a part of The Matrix fans community! I have a question from the first part of the trilogy. Before Trinity takes a bug out of Neo's body in a car, Neo wants to leave the car as he is forced to obey them. However, trinity convinces him saying that the road leads to a hallway, which he has seen before and that he does not really want to be there. What hallway she is talking about? And why would Neo be afraid of that place? Its still unclear to me. In the 2nd part, after fighting Smith in the park, Neo tells trinity that while Smith was trying to copy himself(Smith) onto Neo, it felt like he was back in that hallway. So, my question is what hallway is it and why he is so afraid?

Matrix in a way, is nothing but a remainder that we are slaves to the system which we only have created.

Hmm in the car they don't talk a bout a hallway...

It's just that Neo would be returning to his pointless life as a loner wihtout any questions being answered.

The hallway he mentions after the burly brawl relates to the hallway of the hotel in M1, where he experienced the feeling of dying.

Thank you! that seems to be the most logical answer. I could not get it. In Matrix, every small detail has a meaning.
