Why not Middle Eastern?
Are you aware that Zero-One (01)
and therefore Zion (4km below)
are located in the Mountainous
regions in the middle of Saudi Arabia?

Slow down the Zion scenes in Reloaded and
you'll see many white people too.
I think the W bros wanted Zion to look
multicultural, with many different skin tones,
races and backgrounds.
I wouldnt too much of a profound point on it.

Is it ever stated that Zion is under the city 01? I thought it was merely underneath the old surface cities - which probably would have expanded between the time of the Machines winning the war and the foundation of Zion.
