»Seeing in code - Visual effect«

So I know how to recreate that falling code, and how to make it say whatever I want, etc etc. Is there ANYONE in here who either knows how, or can direct me where to find out how to make an image appear with in the code? Such as when Neo sees the agents down the hall in 1, or when he sees Seraph in golden code? How do you make images in the code, and can it be moving images/video, or just still images?

that helps some... but it doesnt do much for video, which is what i'm REALLY looking for. I'm thinking I'm going to have to rotoscope it, frame by frame in premiere or aftereffects.

It looks like you are going to have to Model the hallway in 3D using somthing like Maya and apply an animated texture map to the geometry and render it.

no... it seems as though i'm not making myself clear. those were just kinda examples of what i want to do... but i'm not rendering anything, i'm not making a hallway. I have a video clip, of a guy that i want to make look like he is comprised of code.

anyone?

No offence, but i THINK that because what was done in the matrix movies did cost millions of bucks because normal people like me and you, are unable to do it, as perfectly as they did....

It is true that the last scene of M1, when Neo is able to see the code of the Matrix, was assigned as a project at an FX company.. That means that the rendering process was very complicated.

However what you ask for I'm sure that it's much easier. You ask for a method to add a second layer of video (with the streaming code) in front of your video (whatever it is).. right? If that's what you want, then I believe that with the right video editing program you can easily achieve it. However you need a video containing only the streaming code.. and I don't know where you can find this.

Then you need to ask your question at a video editing forum, because here most of us are not experienced enough to give you the appropriate answers.

But if you are able to achieve it, I would like to hear how you did, and I would love to see it (if it's not private)

its part of a music video project i'm begining production on. i get what you're saying, and though i already know how to create the falling code, i'm still not sure how to lay it over my subjects face. I'll go find a video editing forum. thanks

nero vision is a video editting program, in the video effects section you will have what you want, green matrix codes forming the original video, nothing comparing to what buf has done, at least it is a code....
