THe explaination for the original Matrix movie is really simple.
The whole storyline is reflected in our inner mental landscape!
Many people experience that they "meet the wall" or have a near death experience that renew their view on life.
To discover that the personality is just a series of phsycological defence mechanism can be a rude awakening for many. But will in turn lead to the path to finding your inner truth. (Not that you fill your life with anger, depression, work, alcohol etc.)
The world as we thougth it was before this realisation or awakening can be symbolised throgh the matrix, I was myself experiencing an awakining when I was 30. Childhood abuse had caused that my experience in life was limited. I lived life to the best of my ability, and that world was real to me, but alcohol and anger was in my life. And my perceptiopn on life was therefor limited.
I had an experience that made me hit the wall. But instead of breaking against the wall. I went throgh it, At first I tried desperatly to put up the bricks again, to put the pieces of my life together. But I eventually realised that a lot of these bricks where defecemechanisms. That what is familiar is much easier to hold on to, even if it is harmful to you. (Etc that someone still are in an abusive relationship, only because it gives them comfort to have someone at some level.
In the Matrix film we can see this in the guy who wants back in the Matrix, because reality sucks. To discover your true self can be painfull like that. To finally dare to look at your true self, both the god and the bad.
The movie is full of these symbols of our inner mental landscape.
I would love to here if someone else got som experiences with this, or can "crack the code."
THis is why I think the movie is so popular, because we all whant to have the hope to discover and break our own inner matrix.

I agree with you here.

We are slaves to comfort and routine (therefore: "change always is [a dangerous game]")...

Hormones, traumas and lack of self esteem are trying to force us into agression, drug abuse, sexual abuse, etc.

We want to escape from reality...a reality which is an illusion created by ourselves as a united consciousness.

Reality is simplicity (Zion), love and serving purpose.

Within love there must also be self-love...not loving yourself in an egoistic way, but accepting yourself, having faith in your own talents.

We are children and part of God (The Source) and we have a purpose that is meaningfull. The only thing is that this purpose is hard to bare, so that's why alot of us (by the act of free will) run away and deny this purpose.

The only way to fulfill your purpose is to have faith in yourself. A blind faith in yourself and others (which the Oracle always had) is the key to setting your mind free to a higher state of consciousness.

Wise words from Mobil_Ave_Neo, the only thing I have a different view on is your last comment on having blind faith in yourself and others. This has in my experience caused more pain, and passified my thougths and behavior even more.
I belive life is about consiouss choises, I chose who I will have faith in or not(or to what degree), to prevent myself from getting hurt.
A part of getting to know yourself is indeed having blind faith in yourself, but not on all levels and arenas. (but I have blind faith that I have a true and good soul inside me that wants to be lisened to and loved)
I belive the Oracle wasn´t about blind faith, but more about leading to the awakening of making your own concious choises.

You are right. There aren't many people that you can trust. I was more talking about the Oracle and the mission to end the war --> "the path of the One is made by the many". She/they had to have faith in the other captains/soldiers in order to make the true Prophecy come true.

Faith in yourself can only be achieved if you know yourself. Offcourse you cannot pull off anything, because you don't possess all talents. With faith in yourself I mean that you never give up on the goodness of your soul (as you stated): no matter how heavy the test is, you must never give up and stand into life with only one weapon: the truth. That's, in my view, having blind faith in yourself.

Bad, egoistic deeds are neccesary too. Only by falling down, you can appreciate going up again.

I believe that everything in life is learning and spiritual growing. You have to deal with karma that you build up in previous (life)times.

You said you were abused when you were a child, but now you are turning this experience into developing a higher consciousness and that is a good thing. Thank God that you try to turn it into positive energy! I wish you good luck and strength in continuing this!
