Ok, work gets alittle boring and so I found the scripts. In M2 when Neo is fighting Merv's guys get gets pissed and generates a matrix code fireball like Ryu from Street Fighter or Dragonball Z. That would have been sick if they included it in the movie. Maybe showing it from a code perspective.

Anyone know anything about that? Why they left it out?

Cheers

Is that really in there? It would have been nice to break the monotiny of that Chateu fight. But it also probably would have come off as a bit cheesy.

Still sounds wicked kewl though Smile Thumbup

it does sound cheesy, it would just give haters more things to complain about (see title of thread) But in the matrix perspective it would be cool

Dee, not sure if you're refering to the title of this specific thread, but I actually thought it'd be cool to see in there. Don't think it'd be that cheesy if done right.

I agree.

Neo is the one right? So he can fully command the world around him. The only "Magick" we see in that scene (apart from the flying Razz) is the psycokenisis when he picks up the Sai, and when he stops the sword blow with his hands.

I think that if it was done very well, that I could have looked very good, and showed a little more of Neo's imagination when using the matrix to his designs.

Yeah, the Ryu thing was just a throwback to give imagry of what I was talking about. I loved Street Fighter when I was a kid. Definatly not meant badly.

I guess I'm still kind of missing how thats complaining about the movie. I loved every bit of it and just thought that would have been cool to see in the movie.

Plus, if he did it there, he'd have to start throwing fire/energy balls all over the place, 'cause every fight after that people would say "Why'd he throw a fireball at the other guy/s last time and this time he's just punching?"

Well, the script made it seem like it took alot of effort for Neo to generate the energy to do that. Kinda like his flying. Each time, he had to build some energy before getting into the air. Thus he couldn't really do it in all his fights.

I haven't been here long enough to see all the haters and their fun comments. But, when I'm sarcasic, you'll know. (btw, do haters go through the effort of reading the scripts? If so, thats a hardcore haterade drinker!)

Sooooo, this was not a negative comment about the move. Just thought it was cool. The movies are a throwback to alot of different genres, just thought this was a cool bit that was left out of the movie.

He did it again!

In the M3 script on pg. 139 of 148 when Smith tackles Neo and creates that massive crater Neo does the bullet-time punch and then....
script says "He (Smith) staggers, stunned, out on his feet as Neo hauls back and gathers the Tai-chi ball, summoning every last bit of his energy, his life-force, then--

Slams it (as in the "Tai-chi ball"?) into Smith, catapulting him into the wall of the crater--"

Again, would have been cool to see in the movie!

I completely agree. Perhaps not twice, but if he only did it in the last scene, showing that he truly is using everything he has in an effort to defeat smith.

In an early draft of the original Matrix screenplay, the movie opens with a guy inside the Matrix world phoning his girlfriend and telling her he has found out something fantastic, like the world is an illusion. The Agents monitor this phone call, track him down, and kill him.

This was actually a much stronger opening than the one filmed, since it establishes the Agents as killers--please notice that nowhere in the Matrix movies do the Agents succeed at killing anyone--they are in the same league as Imperial Stormtroopers, apparently!

The idea was that the guy making the call was a candidate for "The One" but failed his test by prematurely revealing the Truth to another person inside the Matrix.

Any links to this draft? Seem like a fable to me.
