Ok...
I have the answer to this phrase....
To externally control the matrix you would use something like a remote.. The scene where morpheus changes the tvs channel with a remote is a clue..
Now if you are inside of the matrix you wouldnt need to point a control at a subject because you would already be wired to the system, And you could only control it internally.
The mind is the key to all control when in the matrix.
And since the mind is part of the matrix. All you have to do is know that you can use the internal remote. You have to believe you can do it..
Maybe this has been discussed before but I think it is interesting..

The Spoonboy just recapitulates the territory and map postulate. When we look at the territory (the world around us), in this case, the spoon; we create a map, or our perception of what a spoon is supposed to be. The map then tries to line itself up with the territory (which rarely changes). The way the map lines up to the territory is the equivalent of the way the spoon bends.
We are the ones who have to change our perceptions in order for the map to line up properly to the territory. The map can be changed, the territory can't (or is extremely difficult to change). Or, the spoon doesn't bend; it just has a new "mental audience".

Some of that made sense...
The thing is you have to be one with the matrix to change it..
Neo doesnt have outside power he has inside power.
the matrix is being fed to the brain so you cant affect anything outside of your mind
In essence the one is a hacking program who can program the matrix at his will. His mind is a remote. Just like changing a program on your tv.
The one is one with the matrix when he discovers his ability. He could feel it and bend it.. Everything is in the mind with the matrix.
Why would neo fight the merovingians body guards?
The answer is ''He wouldn't''.
He could just delete them...
There is no such thing as a shell code to a program.. If a program is subject to change then it cant have a code.
If it bleeds and dies it doesnt have a code..
The only program with a code is the oracle.. She never changes. Cant be killed or deleted... Smith would never get inside of her
If agents dont have a code. Then no other program has..
Agents are the virus protection. And if they dont have a firewall.. Then nothing else does...
Plus neo has access to everything at the end of the first movie..
So really, what is the point of an add on.

Just some? Well let's break it down for a sec.

The Matrix represents where our perceptions of reality come from. This is how a "mind is trapped."
"The matrix is telling my brain that [this steak] is juicy and delicious."

When we act on our perceptions, we start to see they don't line up or they start to seem warped, bend. Well, sometimes anyway . I should probably say, "test them out." Neo is starting to learn this, which is metaphorically portrayed as seeing the spoon bend.
gina rink wrote: | | We are the ones who have to change our perceptions in order for the map to line up properly to the territory. |
"It is only yourself."
"The mind makes it real."
"The matrix cannot tell you who you are."
The power of redpills in the matrix represents the effects of having a different outlook when viewed by those who haven't questioned and adjusted their own.
Cop in M1: "That's impossible!"

FirstOne, you should get this one but okay.
The spoon isn't a spoon. It is the matrix programming interacting with the mind. It just now is not being viewed by someone who thinks it is a spoon. But by someone who is starting to get the point.
Now it's time to rexamine other things in our life from not just a different perspective per se, but as starting to try to identify what they really are as opposed from what they were (are) presented to be.
