Well of course, since you are a Matrix fan, Matrix 3 is probably the most wanted "second sequel". But aside that: What other "part 3" did you look forward to the most?

I voted for Alien 3 in this poll. I was looking forward to it, back when it was just about to be released. I'd liked the first two films (#1 was top SF) and hoped that the 3rd would be just as good.

However, I was bitterly dissappointed with it. Because Newt, Hicks and Bishop were all dead at the start of it, Ripley's triumph in the 2nd film was wasted.

Hopefully Matrix: Revolutions (ah, what misdirection in that title, I suspect) will be much better in comparison.

This was a no-brainer: The first Star Wars trilogy (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.)

A number of the choices in the poll are from series (James Bond), not trilogies. Some choices are also for 3-movie series such as Terminator (which aren't necessarily the same as trilogies). Although the remainder are trilogies, only Star Wars reached me in the same way The Matrix reached me.

It is easy for me. Tolkien's master piece is a must. And Peter Jackson's master piece, sorry. His [Tolkien's] Lord of the Rings is paramount to all other SF-Fantasy. IMHO

Alien V.s. Predator the movie comes out next year. YES!
I'd have to say that Revolutions is one of the only movies that has Pshyched me up over its release, aswell as Reloaded. But after seeing Reloaded and loving it, I knew Revolutions would be great. And IT KICKED ARSE in all aspects. Im pretty psyched about Alien V.s. predator though, but not as much as I was over Reloaded and Revolutions.

Well..... here I am.

Of the movies above, I loved Alien 3 but I was too young to see it when it came out. I didn't watch any of the alien films for some years later.

Of the recent ones I liked T3 but I wasn't expecting it to be good so that wouldn't count either.

I don't know what to vote for! aaagh!

In 2003 I had to see 3 part 3 movies & I thought about thier simularities:

Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines: WAR! Man vs Machine. ( Judgement and Atfer day)
Star wars 3: WAR! Man vs machine.. well ok Clones & droids
Matrix 3 Revolutions : WAR ! Man vs Machine

----
T3 was absolutly NOT what I expected. Stunt driving on an Firetruck ....yawn...
M3 was War-wise absolutly what I thought it would be. Zilions of sentenials attacking! Victory by numbers!

SW3 : ..? //well I guess that would be 2005. Please give me Major intergalactic battles, Mega Star ships fighting it out. Massive Star Fleets, cruisers, destroyers. Action! Having the force might be cute, but I go for a 10 bilion giga watt laser beam.

My most anticipated # 3 however was Aliens 3. Since then I learned not to expect much from a "triqual"

Alien 3 is the best movie from the whole Alien quadrilogy. If it stopped you expecting much from triquels then you may as well give up on movies altogether. Not only is it the best triquel I've ever seen, but it's one of my favourite movies too!

I thought the way Fincher directed it and the suspense were awesome and unique. I thought killing off Noot was one of the best things they could have done and killing off Hicks was a fantastic piece of cruelty to set the scene. (They had to pay the actor who plays Hicks NOT to act in it. lol!) I doubt I would have ever seen an alien movie if it hadn't been for all the talking about the ending when I was at school. Few people had seen the movie so many people were uncertain as to how Ripley actually died, but the fact that she DID die was novel enough for me!

BTW are you saying that you have already seen Star Wars Episode 3 or were you simply speculating about what you are expecting from it. Or were you talking about Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi?

Can't wait for Alien Vs Predator! W.S. Anderson directing. Hope it's up to Event Horizon standard rather than crummy Resident Evil standard. Wink

What is it really how about a program to help control the A I, so they can't inprison us again. That would make it all fake NEO is really a programer and the acreator of the Matrix. And we simulate to the machines that they dominate our world.[/quote]
