[Matrix Reloaded]
Neo: "So we need machines and they need us. Is that your point, Councillor?"
Councillor Hamann: "No, no point. Old men like me don't bother with making points. There's no point."
Neo: "Is that why there are no young men on the Council?"
Councillor Hamann: "Good point."

The internet is a computer generated world
which is exactly like the matrix.
Everything in the matrix can be found on the net.
You are just a fly that got caught in it.
How free are you on the net. Is there freedom in a world
where everything is connected.

Most likely there were illiterate people in The Matrix.

Try being illiterate on the internet.

Try being illiterate and using a computer.

cause smith exploded Smile And litteracy is sort of a pre req for getting around on the internet... as nearly every site requires some sort of reading abilaty... and there is that pesky keyboard with the letters lol.

The difference, is obviosly not everyone is connected to the internet... as some can't (literacy, poverty) and some don't want too. In the matrix, you are born into it whether you like it or not. You never choose to connect to it... only to disconnect... and that choice only comes if you discover that the matrix even exists... so good luck lol.

There are no anwsers, only choices.

Well hex I disagree I think on sum level everyone is connected to the net be it directly or indirectly. Lets concider also the idea of the choice... What choice did you have to connect. Many people blindy connect never concidering the consequence of
the action. Roughly One a million americans are connected
thus if you are american and to be truly apart of its culture
you have to connect. If there is a beast in the world it is
the internet and those with the connection are the ones with
the holes.

But I urge you all to deep deeper what other things relate to the way the matrix works and the internet. There is a cause and effect. Our moods are altered by what we read
here. How do you know that there are other people posting here this may be all a construct designed for you.

At present yes not many are connected but the internet
is the very design that can evolve to the matrix we think we know.

I leave you with a last word.

ah, but I choose to connect, and I choose what to do while I'm connected. And so do many other people, which is why there is so much crapola all over the internet, because it's everyone is free to pretty much do whatever or say whatever they want to, without fear of reprisal (socially, and from the law generally... unless you are doign something clearly illegal... the worst of which I assure you is NOT illegal downloading of copyrighted material). The internet is a good thing, trust me. In an age of media conglomeration, the internet allows for competing points of view, and alternate points of view, and allows everyone who wants to, to listen to them. You can't wake up if you don't have the information you need... which might be why many of the future red pills seem to be internet savvy... and in many cases... hackers. And I am smiling lol.

Is it not the case that the people in the matrix who are un aware of the matrix feel as if they are making a choice when infact that choice is an illusion.

When you search the internet do you have choice as to what search engine... brings forth ...no... is it your choice to return here.

What is strange is that when it comes to discussions of choice about the matrix... we can see that illusion more clearly but when in comes to choices that we are presented we can not tell the difference.

Th3 P4th I understand that not many are connected... but the economy of the world depends on the net... without it... what we know as the global ecomony would collapse and even those not connected would be affected. So I say again all are connectd indirect or direct.

I guess we prefer to analyes the sci fi world of the matrix more then we do our own lifes. But if that is the case we miss the first step to seeing our matrix.

KNOW YOURSELF
Here is a bit of advice though in knowing yourself it is not about what you see as your good side your neo. The part you really need to know is your smith. When ever someone tells you something about yourself and you disagree and say I am not like that ... know that you are... but your smith is the part you like to keep hidden even from your self.
I believe this is what Karl Jung called your shadow. Only when you know your shadow can you know yourself and only then can you be aware of the choice you make... and thus take responsibility for your actions...

End Note

Listen sounds like a knock on the door

True. Also reminds me of:

Now do you see it.
Its not what the mirror holds that is important what is
important is what the mirror tells us about ourselves.

The mirror reflects the world. Everything that we know and believe. All the religions. All that is human nature.
It provides us with a platform to deconstruct.
LOVE. HATE. WAR. PEACE. everything.

in life it is the way that we see things reflected on the screen and then we reflect back what we see.

The thing is we have the power to change the reflection.
The screen reflects us and we reflect it. So thus it is two
mirrors facing each other.

The oracle reflects that in us which is our intuition.
Our world reflects the oracle in sophia stewart(?).

The matrix reflects hackers in our world as Neos.
Our world we are the matrix hackers. We find all the clues
and are learning all about our the operational program(matrix).

Only those with a sensitive intuitive and question nature(us)
have taken the quest. Soon we have to take what we learnt in the film and use that knowledge to understand our lifes.
And hopefully we will find what neo found(peace).

This is my opinion...
And like all ideas it is worth nothing.

So actually we are the mirrors ourselves. We reflect to other people how we see the world. And they reflect it back to us. am i right?

What is control?

I am sure someone on the forums already said something like this but...What is control? How do you define 'control'? Here is a quick example. First of all we do not notice most methods of control that are around us. Some are nearly invisible. Take nature for example, our very bodies and even our minds are wired to reproduce and we humans do so on a grand scale...nature indeed has control over us. We, as a species, do not need to do so as much anymore because or species is not fighing to stay alive. We no longer have dinosaurs chasing after us and killing our children but we still make babies alot more than one would need. Resouces are in high demand and many mouths cannot be fed for many reasons but poverty can infact be due to how many kids ya got and how 'good' of a government you got too. More people = more mouths to feed = resources consumed. This has to do with what Smith said. "We multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed." We infact are a cancer of the planet...so to speak. How bout other methods of control, can you think of any? You pay your taxes don't you? Did your mother or father punish you for being 'bad' when you were a kid? A good parent would have at some time. Are you scared of a bully? If so than he is controlling you by fear.

All of these things I mentioned above were examples of control. Control is needed for survival. Don't believe it? Look in the mirror. YOU are an example of control. Do you have a pet? You are in control of it right? You should be. Your boss is an example of control. He/She has control of well,...YOU. Now back to the main point....ahhh the internet.

The internet is a form of control like anything else. You get online and think 'WOW! I love this site! I must visit it always!" and then you get on the site more and you keep getting on and heck, it has lured you into a trap, but in truth YOU have allowed yourself to be lured into a trap. YOU were the one that accepted it.

Control is all around us like the Matrix is.

If you are on this site YOU ARE UNDER CONTROL. Lol Whitelaugh We indeed are slaves. Hail the admin

The cool thing is is that we all have the ability to break free of control only if we wish to. It's a matter of choice. Like Neo said "Choice, the problem is choice."

We all wish to get away from control but this we must remember, "It is easier to give into control than it is to get away from it." Getting away is easier said than actually done. Our mind is wired to control and be controlled...will you escape? That is a question for us all to answer, and you will.
