I posted this in another thread, but I realized I should probably start a new one devoted to this. There's a free trial of The Matrix Online over at FilePlanet.com, where you can download it and play it for free for 10 days. Give 'er a whirl and see what you think!

Does this give me access to the MxO forums?
And what if I have the 3-CD set given me by a friend and former player?

The CD's will give you the basic data, and then once the game is loaded and you are connected to the game's main server, it will complete the process by downloading to your computer all the patches that have ever been made since the CD's were manufactured. That's what I did a few months ago, since I still had my CD's.

Ok, so I have been playing this for 2 days now. I love it! With the graphics, chat system and my personal favortie--the radio. If anyone would like to meet up in the game to go get a drink at a bar, my name is Gerik. I'm usually at the Northern Industrial Park in the Syntax server.


BTW---I'm only lv.8

Oh how I wish I could play! My PC does not have a very powerful video card and it has other issues. You guys are so lucky!

Yeah 10 days and no credit card, thank god. I just wish my video card was better...

I'm not sure on either count, but if I were you, I wouldn't wait. Try it out, and see if you like it!

As I said before I can't because I am on dial-up.. But if I get lucky and later on the year there's ADSL availability, I will try it!

Except I am waiting to get a new video card or laptop. By the time I get a new one you guys might be vetrans for all I know. Well at least I have high-speed wireless internet. My God, this laptop is reliable [when compared to my other computer] but it freezes up and it threatens to fall apart on me. I am the type of person who uses PCs until they do fall apart lol. What is the size of the downloaded file? Most probably a file critical to the instalation process has been broken during the downloading of the setup archive. Try downloading again using a download manager!

It took me like 6 hours to download, so I just left it on all night to finish.

I envy all of you! I want fast internet connection too!

The file is 2GB. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to download
