I'm writing a short story about the afterlife in a comedy\fantasy genre and I would like to know...

How do you see your Heaven\Hell?
What would you want your heaven to have\ what would you not want your hell to have?
What pleasure would you wish for\ what tortures would make you beg for mercy?

"Yet Thou hast made him little less then heavengly beings, and Thou dost crown him glory and honour." PSALM, VIII, V

Actually I'm more into reincarnation.

I always thought hell was a really stupid idea. I don't know why I thought that as a young kid. I didn't start coming up with reasons 'til I was around 10 years old.

God would have to be a real moron not to come up with a better system than that. How could a being capable of designing the universe be a real moron?

Me too

My short story is about the afterlife as a parody, showing all the stuff that happens in heaven and to show what's wrong with this picture.
Same goes for hell

I was thinking it would be really cool to have an elevator between heaven and hell so the people qualified to go to heaven but who can't stand the dumb Christians indefinitely could visit Hell now and then Whitelaugh Whitelaugh

Could be cool
But not allowed since the population of heaven could be seduced and curropted by the hell-dwellers. so no contact would be allowed

Besides the one contact behind the scenes that is left to reveal throughout the story

You remember that one old Twilight Zone movie where this guy died and ended up in a place where he got everything he wanted? After a while, he got bored of having everything handed to him with no challenge whatsoever and so he asked to go to "the other place." The guy started laughing and said, "You ARE in the other place!"

That Sounds like a good episode

My story is kind of like that
The protagonist lands in heaven with his naive friend and becomes bored of it and he fears that heaven would make his soul die with mental atrophy and will make him lose human conscienciousness

So he finds a way to get out of heaven, not by an elevator but by something that is hidden in the center of heaven...

My vision of hell...hmmm...some of you have probably read the Sandman series? Lucifer explains that every person is there of their own free will. They feel like they need to be punished, and then they get punished.

Heaven, on the other hand....If it was anything like the stereotypes (angels, harp, and all white) i would probably go Screwy .

Only human?
