when you look and hearing that i came to the conclsion that the agents represent Curbrus of hades. as we know curbru was a dog with three heads that guarded the gates of hades, his job was to let the souls in but not let them out.

the agents are similar as we see there is alwasy three of them, and there purpose inside the matrix is to guard all of the exits, so that once a rebel is inside the matrix he or she could not escape the matrix.
