The Oracle is glowing because, just like Seraph, she is "a program from the machine world". She originated in the machine mainframe, like Seraph. It's not 'gold', however, because by the time we cut to 'code mode' Smith has already begun infecting her, thus she looks green instead.

When Link didn't recognise Smith's code in Reloaded he simply didn't recognise it because part of Neo's code had fused with that of Smith creating a different program entirely with completely different properties.

Max, when you say that the code is gold because it originated in the machine mainframe (the Source), don't ALL programs originate in the Source--whether they began with a robotic body in the Real or in digital form in the Matrix?

I think he means that some programs are machine world programs like Rama, Kamala, and Sati.

And some are made for the matrix, like weather, Agent Brown, or the bird movement ones.

Max, just to clarify, are you saying that Seraph may be someone living in 01, jacking into the matrix?

Yeah, that's what I thought he was suggesting too. I'm not disagreeing with it necessarily, since I'm not aware of anything that contradicts it, but if he can back that up with some proof, it would be very helpful. My current understanding of Seraph is that he started out as an angelic agent from the paradise version of the Matrix and didn't come from the Machine World. But do I have proof of that? Nuh uh.
