This image is from the beggining of the Matrix Revolutions where you have a big bang then some gold fractals and the last golden image you see is that:

Click and double-click to resize image

Later Neo sees it from above, while Logos is falling:

Click and double-click to resize image

And here is a pic of it as Trinity would see it:

Click and double-click to resize image

From Sec Ren part 1 we see 01 as the Machines built it:

Click and double-click to resize image

And here you can see some buildings from 01:

Click and double-click to resize image

And the building that Logos crashes on:

Click and double-click to resize image

Why does everything has that shape? Could the building from Sec Ren be the same that the Logos crashes?

There's a very popular (read: fanon) theory that the Machine City in The Matrix Revolutions is, in fact, 01. So, you're not alone. Thumbup

No it's not a theory. It's a fact. I think. I mean everyone (?) thinks of that too.

What I ask is if the building from 01 that we see at Sec Ren could be the same from M3. And why all the Machines buildings, and the Machines city itself, have that round shape.

in one of the special on the dvd, some says that the machince city represents a living breathing ecosystem like a coral reef.

Yeah I suppose you like my threads because I upload pictures that can give some proof. And now that I became a moderator (matrix-explained.com... )I'll try even harder!
I expect from you guys the same, try to give us FACTS! Thumbup

Aaah, is there anything better than to post here and to drink something

VERY cool pics, th3 p4th! I don't know how you did it (aside from having just a bit of extra time on your hands and heightened observational skills), but that comparison between the fractal at the beginning of M3 and the overhead shot of the Machine City at the end of M3 was fantastic!

It's been a while since I've seen that beginning scene of M3 with all the computer animation. Do you think there's any reason for showing the Machine City at that point, other than for fanboys like us to go "Whoa! Cool!" What things are shown before and after the fractal?

I'm happy that you like it. But I was sure that all of you have thought of these things, and I'm not the first one.

Here's what happens:

For a few seconds there's silence and nothing happens. Then suddenly you have a big bang explosion:

Click and double-click to resize image

Take notice of these little things that go away from the center of the explosion and read Tozy's essay Wink Then the virtual camera zooms to the center of the explosion and you see the fractal structure:

Click and double-click to resize image

Can you see the spot that is more white than the others? When the camera zooms more you see that it's this:

Click and double-click to resize image

Then you zoom out and code blends with fractals:

Click and double-click to resize image

Then you just have code:

Click and double-click to resize image

And later you see the infamous car from my other thread (matrix-explained.com...)..

Click and double-click to resize image

..right next to that building:

Click and double-click to resize image

We see the Matrix City that we are familiar from the movies..

Click and double-click to resize image

..and its shape turns out to be the following symbol that we see for the first time in the code of the Matrix:

Click and double-click to resize image

Then that symbol changes to a minus ( - )..

Click and double-click to resize image

..and in the end we see the whole crew looking at the screen.

Sure it means something but I don't know what.

i too have questioned this symbol
At first glance, i thought it was taurus the bull...

Larry: The beginnings, the little tiny introductions to each film has kind of a reflection of what each movie is about... and, you know, we say, we sort of, in those little tiny prefaces to each film, we kind of tell the audience where we are in the journey of development (...) I mean, the Matrix is an exploration of consciousness, those little tiny bits and pieces at the beginning of each of the films sort of, tries to help you map it out a little bit...
matrixfans.net...

My take on it:
The intros are spirit/state of consciousness made visible by the means of light.

In the Revs intro, we see the whole spectrum of consciousness (starhtml.de...):
the Absolute (the One) throwing itself out into the multiplicity of forms (the many), forgetting about its true ONE-nature...
-> big bang and outward movement
...and the spiritual quest, the path of return from the many to the One in the inward movement, back towards the centre of the big bang.

But the inward movement comes to a halt at the machine city. This is where spirit has come so far on its path back towards the One (spiritual evolution): human spirit.

This state of consciousness is the underlying reality of the Matrix (collect consciousnes of man). Thus we see, in an outward movement,... from the machine city, as the underlying reality of: yellow code -> as the underlying reality of: green code -> as the underlying reality of: the Matrix...

... and the building in the form of a 7...

Click and double-click to resize image

-> Sati in Mobil Ave: Good morning

-> Link: Did you find Neo?
Morpheus: Can't you see him?
Link: No, sir. We were reading something but I couldn't tell what it was.

-> the 6th "reborn" through grown consciousness as the 7th...

In the Reloaded intro, we also see hinted the whole spectrum of consciousness, in levels of reality:
From the centre...
Click and double-click to resize image

...to the machine city...
Click and double-click to resize image

...to Matrix code as the underlying reality of a Matrix detail.

But in this case we see it all in green, through the mind/Matrix,.... just as Neo will, in the end of Reloaded, approach the source through the mind (-> architect room)...
Click and double-click to resize image

still controlled by the mind...
Click and double-click to resize image

Only after Neo has transcended the choice in the architect room, can the intro "proceed" from the green in Reloaded to the gold in Revolutions.

Once again great work tozy. My question is why at the intro of Reloaded we get to see many spirals and not only this one you posted. While at the intro of Revolutions you only see one big fractal - spiral.

My friend linked me to this site. I read just this thread and was impressed by a few peoples understanding of the films. However, having said that I am somewhat shocked to see people like "agame" say things like "Plz tell us" to "Tozy" like whatever she says is the truth and should be absolutely believed. Please do not misunderstand me, I am not saying Tozy is incorrect. I agree with alot of what she says, in fact I didn't know anyone else has looked this deep into the intro besides myslef. But like we see in religion, if you follow somebodys interpretation of an event or belief and don't consider it for yourself it most likely spells disaster. You all will agree with that...

This being my first post I will not comment on my interpretation of the screenshots posted, but only wait until you people have asked for my interpretation, because I may not be welcome here, and thus you all won't listen to my responses anyway. So I await a few positive replies.

But for now I will just say this, the presence of the similarities of the two gold overhead shots of the machine city are significant. But as the Merovigian said "Why is the only real source of power". Simply ask yourselves why they are being shown at those times, then you will have the answers you seek.

Kozar

P.S. Also there is a DEFINITIVE explanation for the "horned glyph" shown in the pics. But I will wait to post that too.

Neo: "I need time."

Roland: "That figures."

Welcome to matrix-explained forums! You say your friend linked this page to you. Is he / she a member of matrix-explained? (Just curiousity)

Ok read here: matrix-explained.com... the last post of tozy.

Ok cool, I read the post.

First of all I am not one to tell any of my conclusions of what I see in the movies because 1- All of my theories are ever changing and evolving, and 2- I mimic the Oracle in her methods of hinting to Neo so he can find his own answers.

Now the new information I will bring to light is how the vision of the machine city in the intro to M3 is reached by us the viewers.

And the second clue I will give is to go to the vision of the "Horned Glyph" and turn your DVD player to reverse and slow motion. Hopefully you have that option. It is a really strange way to view the intro, but "sometimes it is easier if you work backwards" - Paycheck

Ok, sometimes I like to give hints and let people draw their own conclusions but sometimes the answers are clear-cut...

In the game "The Matrix Online" the Megacity is broken up into four main districts "Westview, Downtown, International, and Richland". While those four are only small sections of the entire span of the Matrix they are all geographically located in areas of MegaCity which is shaped EXACTLY like the above figure. So there is your answer, now couple that information with my previous post and possibly the answers will come to you.
