1st Matrix: 'SYSTEM FAILURE' and Social Security Numbers

Seeking help (not the professional kind mind you Wink )

I've seen all three Matrix movies, yet I've never posted before now. I watched the 1st Matrix for the 5th time, and I've decided to seek guidance from the pros on the matter below.

The 1st Matrix horrifies me in the way that it does most people, but my horror goes a bit further than most, I believe. I'm one of many thousands of (informed?) individuals that hold the same view, so I know I'm not alone. I don't know if my theory has been supposed prior to this posting. I would be arrogant to think that it has not.

In one of the last scenes where Neo is talking on an unsecured line, and starts on how he is here to tell them “How this is going to begin...”. At that moment, the words 'SYSTEM FAILURE' appears on the screen. Has anyone else noticed that directly behind lays a 9 digit layout of numbers? What number does everybody have that starts with 9 digits? DUH! Why did the Wachowsky brothers remove every 10th column, revealing an on screen “SYSTEM” of 9 digit numbers? The number directly above 'SYSTEM FAILURE' starts with 403-, which happens to be the first three digits used in many SSNs (Social Security Numbers for those who haven't guessed yet). It might be interesting for someone to find out who has been assigned the SSN listed directly above 'SYSTEM FAILURE'.

The Theory:

Who hasn't already compared the Matrix itself to some component of our everyday life? At the pragmatic level, we have the following:

* “The Federal Reserve” central banking system using fiat money, which many historians have declared to be a systematic way of stealing wealth from any society.
* The massive system of abuse, fraud and control known as the U.S. (Federal) Income Tax (861evidence.com...).
* The massive system of abuse, fraud and control known as “Social Security”, which just so happens to be the enabling “SYSTEM” of numbers that support the two listed above. (nossn.com...)
* The New World Order (prisonplanet.com...)

The first three are directly related, and could not exist without the two others. I believe all three are part of the real life “Matrix” that enslaves all Americans.

Then we have the generally accepted as theoretical:

* aliens are controlling human beings through a system of secret societies, and other social hierarchies (i.e. Freemasonry, Skull & Bones, etc).

I'm not here to argue the validity of any such conspiracy. I've read up on each subject, and have come to the conclusion that each of them are indeed conspiracies. Being almost 30, my ego no longer requires that I convince any other person that these things are true.

In conclusion, I believe the Wachowsky brothers are trying to tell us something. We really do live in a matrix that by design, enslaves humankind. The Matrix is a thinly veiled attempt to get this message passed beyond the traditional government controlled Hollywood media filters, to the general public.

Want to see a movie that didn't pass the government controlled Hollywood media filters? Want to see a movie that will never see the darkness of any general theater because of its highly contraversial content? Watch the trailer of the movie that is changing lives at every public screening: freedomtofascism.com...

Take the red pill. Then, you'll be convinced the matrix is indeed real. :/

Welcome to the matrix explained forums!

I think that you are the first person that discusses it here! Interesting thoughts, although I don't know anything about SSN.

It could be true because we all know how clever Ws are! Cool

I do apologize. I must be one of those Americans who assume America is the center of the world/galaxy/universe. I wrote my post assuming most everyone would be American, and therefore familiar with the Social Security Number.

Since Greece is a "developed nation", I'm assuming your government has assigned a number to you that shows you are part of a system of social dependency. Is this true?

Before you criticize all the citizens of America for being too nosy, think of it this way. No one asked you to come into this topic. No one asked you to put your nose into it. Just because America has been around for about 600 years, doesn't mean it can't be a superpower. Like it or not, America is a superpower and has been for most of the 20th century, and now.

As for the original post, yes I think we live in a Matrix of sorts. Not exactly the kind from the movie, but the government does have so much control that it rivals our own.

I agree with some of his sentiments. I know and understand why America is hated around the world, be it envy or just pure disgust with its foreign policy principles. Let it be known (like anyone really cares) that I don't voluntarily support what my government does with its power, as I'm a Libertarian. Support from me is extracted by force out of my paycheck, ostensibly "for the good of the country", whatever the hell that is.

I support the founding principles of what America used to be, a policy of general "non-intervention".

America is indeed a superpower, and it shouldn't abuse such power.

No offense taken. It takes quite a bit to offend me. I would however like to address a couple of points.

I specifically stated "developed nation", which has a very specific meaning, and differs from a "civilized nation" in several ways. See

en.wikipedia.org...

According to Wikipedia:

"A developed country is one that enjoys a relatively high standard of living derived through an industrialised, diversified economy. Countries with a very high Human Development Index (HDI) are generally considered developed countries. This usually coincides with countries that have a high gross domestic product (GDP) per capita;"

The context of my statement was really in regards to this better than average standard of living. Such economies generally produce enough to support systems of social dependency, like the U.S. Social Security system. The equivalent systems in other nations differ by name, but usually share the same Socialist principles.

I don't really know the vast history of Greece, but since it is the birthplace of democracy, I consider it to have been in the vanguard of civil societies. America has only been around for roughly 230 years.

While I will always have more respect for Libertarians then their distant cousins in the far right wing... I still see what little social programs we have in America as generally a good thing even if they are flawed. America spends one sixth of it's entire econemy on health care, more then any nation in the world, and we are not in the top ten nations when you consider the general health of our people vs. other countries. We aren't in the top 20. We are number 30 something. In 1950 we were number 5 in the world. In the 1940's we actually had a president propose a maximum wage, in the 1970's, we actually had a republican president propose national health care. Spending money does not equal good health, all it has done is make certain corperations (insurance/medical/phyarmicutical) very rich, while at the same time put a larger strain on every other company which is expected to provide health care for it's workers. Do you know what the best indicator of a nations health is? The gap between the rich and the poor in a nation holds the best correlation to the gerneral health of that nations population, meaning that the smaller the gap, the healthier everyone is... this includes those rich people at the top. They would be healthier if the gap was smaller. This has been proven by the justice departments own studies... but we don't pay attention to them.

Anyways, I won't pretend that government doesn't have it's problems, and as far as personal liberties go, I am definatly not for big government in our persenal lives (bed room, phone logs, tv logs, whatever else they track). However, without a better system in place, their is no other instrument for gradual change, which is always the best way to implement change. However, as humans, we seem to prefer to have things collapse in great disasters and then decide that we should make them better. Kind of the evolution vs revolution concept.

Wow, well, wasn't expecting to type so much, anyways, I konw i won't agree with you on government, but at least I can have an intelligent conversation with you, which is where things need to start.

There are no anwsers, only choices.

okay i my have worded that a bit vaguely..but dude there was know need to get so pissed off about it, i was not directing the comment at you. it was directed at the government and the people that that are accosiated with them. i know that there are poeple that think like me, and they live in the country.

i am just someone that feels that a country should just look after it own country and it own countries interests.
