»Canonity Issue«

What do you think of the canonity levels of the games (Enter the Matrix, The Matrix Online, and The Matrix: Path of Neo)? Do you think they have as much canonity in the Matrix universe as the films? Or less because they are not creations of the Wachowskis themselves, but still somewhat canon due to the Wachowskis' endorsement? Or not canon at all? For that matter, what of the canonity of the comics?

Enter the Matrix, often referred to as EtM, is canonical. It is found on disk 4 of the Ultimate Matrix Collection (Matrix Reloaded Revisited) and provides many details on some of the happenings between Final Flight of the Osiris, (Animatrix) and Reloaded acted out by the same actors as the films and directed by the Wachowski Brothers.

The Matrix Online, often referred to a MxO, is canonical as well. It picks up where Rev. leaves off. Paul Chadwick is involved in the storyline.

Matrix: Path of Neo, or PoN, has alternate story endings so it can differ significantly from the storyline of the films. Though written by the W's, the purpose of this game is for gaming purposes only. But that is imho...
