Metacortex is a software programming company. I'll split the analysis here:

Meta refers to 'Post, Later, Evolutionised, Transitional'
Cortex, refers to the Cerebral Cortex of the human Brain.

So Meta Cortex, refers to the Post, Evolutionised brain, otherwise known as the Mammalian brain. Stating that the Mammalian brain is more advanced than the Reptilian Brain 'stem' that humans have.

Because its a 'software programming' company, it refers to the programming of the mind, otherwise known as 'mind-control' or another word for 'Matrix'.

Anyone agree/disagree with this?

However, the "META" part also has the following meanings, which match :

1.Change, transformation,Alternation
2.Beyond; transcending
3.At a higher state of development
4.A prefix meaning one level of description higher. If X is some
concept then meta-X is data about, or processes operating on,
