»Matrix was created by humans !«

Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

My theory is that sometime in the past the human race was facing extiction, basically they had a choice, Either:

1. Perish.

2. Or find a way that the human race could both reproduce and survive both mentally and physically until a time that we could survive on our own.

Obviously we chose the latter, the only way for this to happen was for us to design a (physical) machine world that could take care of the reproducing / physical maintenance side of things for the human body. I suppose what would have been one of the most appealing things about this system was that we as human batteries powered the machines and in turn the machines serviced us.. Kind of self-sustaining.

The other side of things was the mental side, without mental stimulation the body simply wouldn't survive. As the Architect mentions in reloaded we created a perfect type world, unfortunately this was soon rejected, possibly without want there was no motivation ot live..

This is where I suppose the machine controlled Matrix started, faced with the extiction of the human race again, a plan B type solution was activated this was the architect program. His responsibility was to find out why the previous Virtual reality failed and put a new system in place. Unfortunately this program was either a little too clever or via a fault in his programming he was a little too human like and realised he had the ultimate control, this reminds me of what the Oracle says of the Merovingian "What do all men with power want? More power."

I think Neo has ultimately been misled by the Architect, he is basically been sent on a wild goose chase. His true destiny is to reveal that the humans in fact created the Matrix and he has the power to gain back control. I think it's possible that he caries the source code that was put in place by the original human creators in case this type of situation arises.

I think the Oracle may be a program that was developed by humans in case the machines took control, she holds some information as to what needs to be done for the one to take back control. She doesn't know the full story though as that would be dangerous in the wrong hands.

I believe this is why this is a journey, not one program knows the full story they all hold bits of the puzzle and it is up to Neo to work it out.

I don't think we will see the human race being freed from the Matrix in revolutions, either the earth will not be a suitable habitat yet or it's just not possible at this time. I think that humans will gain back control and this is what he's talking about in his phone call at the end of M1. Humanity will become aware of the real existance but Neo will take something like the Architects job but it's up to him to make sure no one takes advantage of the new system.
