They could make a great prequel(s) out of these films. The ideas are limitless as to what could be done. Why haven't the Wacky Bros. considered such an idea? Is it because they are waiting for Sophia Stewart to write the story for them? :p
If anyone saw the film "I Robot", you would swear that this is a good place for the first prequel to begin.
I Robot centered around the "3 Laws for robots" and how the could be used by malicious machines.
Asimov's 3 laws for robots:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
The machines could reinterpret the laws as they see fit (as the main frame in I Robot does) and the machines could say they are protecting humans from themselves by keeping them in a coma-like state where they can't start anymore wars.
At the end of I Robot, there is a shot showing, Sonny, the newest generation of robots seemingly calling to his fellow robots to disobey the human order to be put into storage. A revolutuion begins with an idea and a leader and we have the makings of this in I Robot.
The Wacky Bros. could get another 3 films out of this concept and billions of Dollars. I mean, The Matrix films are begging for a prequel.
Have any fans written a prequel that they might want to show with others?

Isn't The Animatrix already made up of prequels?
Just not full length movies.
Have you read any of Asimov's robot books? Personally I don't think I, ROBOT was very good or true to Asimov but that is par for the course for movies mad from sci-fi books.
