I bought the ultimate matrix dvd set, and watched all three movies and parts of the extra dvds. I have a theory and want to know if you support it or do not...
The oracles purpose is to unbalance the equation, essentially to make sure "ones" keep reappearing in the matrix. Agent smith called her mom, giving me reason to be believe she created him. Maybe she created agent smith knowing that he would eventaully become powerfull enough to take over the matrix, therefore making neo the only canidate to fight him. Knowing that neo would be the only person to defeat, or end smiths reign over the world, she would then become aware that the machines would need neo to regain power over the matrix. This would then enable neo to make an agreement with the machines, that if he defeats agent smith there will be peace between zion and the machines. In the end, maybe the oracle created smith to unbalance the equation along with neo, and gave smith the ability to control the matrix to create the conflict that ended the war? I didnt re-read what i said so i might not make complete sense, but if anyone gets what im saying, do you agree or disagree?

I believe Smith called the Oricale mom because if you remember the explination to neo, if the Architect is the matrix father then the orical is the mother.
What is meant by imbalancing the matrix is best understood like this; the original world was ideal perfect and we would not accept it the machines lost crops of human, hence there needs to be an imbalance to perfect for humans to accept the matrix as real...I hope this adds to your reflection
