Well, it's a shame, but if a large number of simple-minded individuals watch very little else over a long period of time, this is what happens. Sad but true.

ps. Totally useless bit of trivia, but I really am a bastard. My parents got their marriage annulled when I was 21 (so my mom could go be a nun, which she only did for 6 months)! My mom says that since they were married when I was born (and staid married till I was sixteen when they got a divorce) that means I'm not a bastard. But if she's right, then why are people always saying "Shut up you bastard" to me?

First of all, thanks Capt for the humor. But Idealist, for you to do anything to my bonfire, first of all you have to argue against something that I wrote. You haven't. Then you'd have to say something substantial to keep my "fire" from burning. Whenever you decide to make a point here, maybe that will qualify. But we'll just have to wait until then.

In order to have an argument, someone has to present something to either be countered or supported. All you have done so far is Language Arts. When you are ready to discuss something besides words you just found in the dictionary, let me know.

I feel the need to argue against it because you questioned me. I answered, or rather countered, but then you came back again. This became an argument and you were genuinely incapable of providing anything valid.

Just for the record, genius. I wasn't correcting anyone's punctuation. My point is, if you do so, try not to use incorrect punctuation while doing it. But at least Idealist knows what punctuation is. You mention the word and then proceed to pick at the words used. This has nothing to do with punctuation. Punctuation involves the use of periods, commas, apostrophes, subjects and predicates. But why do I need to post that to you? You're the teacher, right? I think you let your apples ferment too long.

Do you notice that the only contributions you two have made to discussion involve correcting the posts of those who actually have something to say? I left the thread for about 20 hrs and this is still the case. What do you think accounts for this?
