In the game "Path of Neo" you get to see a cutscene where Bane and Neo fight in the Logos.

You cannot control Neo in that scene, but they made the scene totally in CGI instead of normal pictures.

When Neo becomes blind he is going to 'see' Smith and smack his ass.

But the weirdest thing is that he sees the Logos in green code just like in the Matrix and he sees Smith as pure red code.

Why did they especially made this scene in CGI, while all the other things are presented as normal movies?

And why do you see real green code and real red code instead of just firelike energy as is seen in M3?

Are they trying to hint us that there is a MwiaM?

Told ya, one day in some way, the bros would hint finally de MwM theory. If they did in the movies it would be boring and obvious, insteed they will probably try to make it through other meduims (games, comics, books, who knows).

Seeing as a lot of the cinematics...correction....all the cinematics are half-ass in this game, I say they probably didn't even get consulted about the cinematic. Just a guess....

I don't consider the mega-smith cinematic with this group, as it was done by Blurr.

Typish a childish reaction to give as to say: na-na-na-nah! My theory was right all the time!

I am trying to be open here and then you get these kind of reactions.

Free your mind man!

I am actually quite open to the theory that there is a MwiaM, because it could make alot of sense. A lot of things happen in the Real World that seem ment to be, like for instance Cypher missing Tank, the Kid preventing Neo to be stabbed by Bane, only Trinity getting hit by spikes while Neo doesn't even have a sctach, etc.

The only thing that bothered me, and a lot of other people, was that it would be a kind of lame idea to let the Real World be another Matrix. It would take away the purity of the true freedom that the red pills experience and enjoy.

But in the esoteric teachings (believes for open minded and intellegent people) it is said that everything is an illusion back to God, whereas you can replace God with the Source in the movies.

So the MwiaM-theory could be very plausible, I just didn't like the idea much.

But people can change, can't they?

The reason why that scene was done using the game engine was because it's actually two scenes (if you watch closely you can see where it switches) that were meant to bookend the Bane-Smith/Neo fight. This level was cut late in he game as it would have messed with the tempo of the game. At that stage the player's RPG avatar was fully developed, with all the moves and powers in the game available. Suddenly sending the player back to base 1 for the one fight was thought to mess things up.

I don't get that reasoning (apparently neither do they as they left in the new ending which ruins EVERYTHING, not just tempo), but that's the reason why. Leaving in the in-game footage was either more half-assing on Shiny's part or the dev's just wanted to show something for all the work they put into the level.

The real question is why Niobe can suddenly kick agent butt in he sewer level (even quicker than Neo). I don't recall things going that way in the movies or even ETM. 3Tooth

True, but seeing as how I played as Niobe in the last Matrix game from Shiny, that example seems particularly blatant.

I amost cry at the thought that so many Matrix mods were silenced just so they can give Shiny one more chance to show the world how hard they suck.

I've jsut finished the game this morning at 6.
i have to say , the brawl with dozens of smiths was epical , just briliant (for such a lame-ass bug-filled game)..especialy when (through some miracle I manage to pull off an eye poppin' combo waveing around smiths in both hands like they were nun-chuks). Even the alternative saving missions between m1 and m2 were nice.
But the ending , with the megasmith was just a pile of shit.
I can't belive the brothers acctualy agreed for somethig like that , even made a short cut-scene with their "rezidual digital self image" as antic-nintendo characters who explained that in a videogame , the martir ending would be a bit lame. Lame , my foot! (at least I got to hear their voices[if those were actualy the w brothers])

They are not their actual voices.
Plus, they didn't agree.. it was their idea

Or are they just taking the piss out of thick people, as with the 'Mega Smith' gag at the end?

I go for the latter.
