The Story of Easter (The Babylonians).
Centuries before Christ the Babylonians had a Male Vegetation God Called Dagon that slept all year long in a cave then around the time of the Spring Equinox the Female God of Fertility named Eostre would come and wake the Vegetation God and he would make everything green.

Neo = Dagon = Jesus
Trinity = Eostre = Mary Magdalene

If Neo and Trinity are Lovers then Jesus and Mary Magdalene are Lovers and Lovers = Marriage

The Emperor Constantine decided to have one religion so he mixed all of the existing religions into one the most popular Christianity but how can you worship a man (Jesus) unless you decide to make him a God. Well what about the other religions? what if they do not want to switch over? well there was no choice you became a Christian or Die. What about the other Bibles? Burn them all.

How would this story be passed on? If you have anything contradicting the new Bible you and its contents would be burned. You can pass the story on by telling it in an Allegorical children's Story, Game, Painting or Song. A smarter generations would figure out the Puzzle.

In the Egyptian Trinity the Queen or wife is always on the Left and The King or Husband is always on the right and their God or Priest is in the Center therefore creating the Egyptian Trinity.

We Still practice this in Christian Churches the Wife is on the Left the Husband on the Right and the Priest on the Center a perfect Trinity

In allot of Christian paintings you will notice that each Character from the Bible has an assign color.
Jesus and the Virgin Mary are assign the color BLUE
Mary Magdalene is assign the color RED
Just like ying and yang husband and wife will wear opposite colors. Blue for male and Red for Female.
Saint Peter is assign the color Yellow

Some People believe that Jesus and Mary M had a daughter named Sarah
If you take the Blue and Mix it with Red you will get Violet.

After Jesus was crucified Mary Magdalene ran of with Child to France, and her descendants became kings of ancient France.

The Merovingian are from the 5th - 8th century
I do not know what role the Merovingian play in the Matrix (It is one big Puzzle)

Sorry I was joking. In order to re-write the scene were Saint Peter is Walking on water instead of Morpheos Losing faith and sink they decided to shoot him on the leg to bring him down.

Jesus an the Apostles would go in pairs to preach Jesus message and cast out demons Jesus and Saint Peter would always go together. Saint Peter was Jesus best friend. Saint Peter's real name was Simon, Jesus gave him the nickname of "the rock" or Peter. There is the another Trinity -- Jesus, Peter and Mary M.

Neo is Jesus trying to play three roles. one were is Jesus as man another were he Jesus as a God and another is us trying to figure out why we have this mess of two worlds were Morpheos is taking us into a Tour of Wonderland.

Jesus was Prophesied of his coming to save them.
Neo was Prophesied by the Oracle of his coming to save them.
In Narnia there are the Two Sons of Adam that were Prophesied of their coming to save Narnia.(The two Sons of Adam are Jesus and Moses)

DaVinci, you shoulnd't reduce the Matrix trilogy to just one approach, and Neo certainly not only to Christ, no matter in what light he may shine. Proof of countless other aspects is way too obvious, as you can see from the above quote.

So, what is the Matrix?

Add to the world's great religions the worlds great philosophies, and you have what the Matrix trilogy - to my understanding - is trying to express: the human condition and its true nature (-> potential); and mankinds different approaches to its underlying potential...

Christ is one approach; Buddha is another; and so are the Hindu trimurti. The symbolism in the Matrix trilogy hints at aspects of (at least) all of these three being represented in Neo (-> bed of snakes, lotus, cross...)

And if you believe that there is not possibly any "intersection" to these very different religions, let me throw in Smith, in whom darkness and destruction accumulate, directly proportional to Neo's growth, until Neo finally understands how he must be overcome:
To Christians Smith may represent sin. To Buddhists he may represent the self. To Hindus he may represent the ego, or lower self (of course, this is oversimplifying things...)
But what is the ground of sin? The apple from the tree of knowledge of good and evil -> attributes, opposites. Only an individual, an "I"-consciousness can think in attributes (-> Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked).
And that - the "I" - is where, to my understanding, Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism can meet in their definition of the basic problem of mankind. And, based on this common ground, even if expressed differently, all three religions seek salvation by the same path,... selflessness,.... again, expressed differently.
Smith's end and Neo's sacrifice is one hell of a scene to metaphorically express these (not only,.... what say you, Intell?) three concepts in one moment.

I have not read the Lyrics.
Christianity is not original. Christianity borrows from many religions. The only original Christian thing about the Bible is Christ.( well I am exaggerating)

But, my friend, you'd be advised to take everythign you read with a pinch or two of the old sodium chloride (standard table salt available at all good supermarkets).

I happen to think that this whole conspiracy is entirely believeable and plausible and it would surprise me if there wasn't any truth to it.

But ultimately, you have to ask yourself one simple question:

"So what?"

That is true.

The Matrix represent the Holy Bible and the bible has been rewritten, Pagan rituals have been added by the Roman Catholic Church and this is what the people that took the Blue Pill chose to Believe.

Then there are the Pagans and Secret Societies that have a different story this battle has been going on for Centuries This Battle is represented by the Humans against the Machine world.
