The architect is a very bored computer program playing a very sophisticated simulation (just like the seminal Sim City) game. Being a computer he lacks real imagination and has set a goal for himself to complete the video game as many times as possible so that he may learn and therefore anticipate all the variables.

Like he said. Zion has been destroyed many times before and they are getting extremely efficient at it.

Just like us, the more we play a video game the better we are at predicting the outcome of any variable. We also get more efficient at completing levels. Right?

The Architect's arrogance will be his undoing. Neo will take control of the game.

Well it is all a video game. But you have to re-ask yourself, who is actually playing this game. I think M3 will show us Neo ultimately jacking out of the Zion world matrix into a world where he is a machine playing against man who is writing a program to beat Neo the machine at the game he himself has created. This man will look like an old Neo.

The whole thing has been an attempt by this old man who has spent his entire life trying to design and build machines that will let him go back to his youth to remake his choices. But he still cannot.

So we will discover that the architect is a human playing against Neo. so the matrix is just an evolution of a computer chess game.

Would this be an unsatisfying conclusion to the trilogy? Or will this ending make a deeply profound statement about the nature of artifical intelligence?

What statement would that be, exactly?

If movie statements could be put into the form of a sentence or a paragraph, then why would we need movies to make statements?

A statement in itself is not enough. we need an explanation beyond a declarative statement. for example; if the W brothers statement is that the creation of AI is folly, then we would all cry "explain!!". So a movie is one way to back up and explain a statement. We as humans have always used stories to educate ourselves. our brains simply work better when instructed with the use of metaphor and analogy.

That's what the bible is. The statement would be "God Exists", but it takes the entire bible to back up that statement, and even then we are not necesarily convinced that the statement is true.

Does that answer your question?

in the X-files. mulder said to Scully.
"if the one(god) is prove, world will go very differnt way."

i think that stuff ( video game ) is good one, too.

stage 1. neo's nirvana
stage 2. neo's re-nirvana (to upper level of the game 'The Matrix')
stage 3. the end of game. (all the thing you play is bull-shit)

neo is the player. and the other is NPC (non playable character)

i think ending of M3 will be the turn off the playstaion scene.

Sympathy for the Devil.
