This is the greatest Trilogy ever, but even movies as good as these will have bad scenes.

My vote:

Morpheus vs. Smith on top of the Truck.

Did anyone notice how bad the special effects got here, and Morpheus looked like such a helpless fat ass.

That wasn't Smith it was agent Johnson I think. And that fight is great.

Hmmm... worst scene... Morpheus' speech and the resulting rave in the cavern. "CAAAAN YOU DIG IT?"

Another bad scene was when Neo said to Trin that he couldn't go on without her, and then got up two second later without shedding a tear... granted, he had no eyes.

This maybe isn't the worst scene but the scene that I didn't understand or seemed like it had not much significance. It was the scene where Neo and Councillor Haaman take a walk to the engineering level. It was a little filler but I understand it somewhat but at that point in Reloaded I was ready for action. Eventually the action came and it was great.

Again this isn't the worst scene just one they could've left out.

Leave that one out?
LOL, please don't curse man Smile It it was one of the more important scenes in Reloaded.

To me there are no bad scenes in the trilogy.

Maybe only the siege was a bit long for my taste, but others loved that.

I agree with you Mobil_Ave_Neo there aren't really any bad scenes in the trilogy but I was hard pressed to pick one. I should've picked the rave scene but I think that was significant to show Neo and Trinity's love for one another. And the invaision of Zion scene was very long but O.K.

I didn't like that scene from the first Matrix, where Neo is sliding down that slide naked! lol

I don't like the love-scenes between Neo ans Trinity. It just does not feel very... well I don't know. It seems the chemistry between the actors was just not right for that. It does not make me really feel like the characters are in love.

Yeah, tell me about it.

The worst part was how much Agent Smith actually looked like Agent Johnson.

Crazy shit, man. 3Tooth

That top-of-truck scene dragged a bit.

The Architect scene, eh? C'mon now -- that was one of the most phenomenal scenes in the trilogy, not to mention totally anomelous and revolutionary in Hollywood. Good ol' Archie, where would Neo be without 'im.

1. Α llitle shorter rave scene (the message of "body" would have been transmitted just as well)
2. A little shorter final battle in Zion scene (personally i didnt get bored, but it may have been better if it was just a little shorter/faster.
3. the Neo-Trinity-kiss-kiss-while the-others-rave scene was important, but i agree that it didnt show great attachment between them. Their bodies were like carefully positioned in a pose. These are not easy scenes, but i believe it could be done a little better.

hmm...i dont remember any other scenes that need fixing right now...

Actually, they cut away from Neo and Trinity for a while. During that time, I'm sure Neo managed to collect himself as he dragged his body out of the ship. If you see his face and tone of voice, he's completely unexcited and uninspired. It's like he doesn't give a shit anymore. And it is this attitude that carries over through the rest of the movie, which makes him feel really bad-ass.

But that's me Very Happy

Hehe...that's a bit harsh, ain't it?

That scene sent tingles down my spine.

"Let us be heard from red core to black sky!"

Loved that shit.

Okay, Jermaine, this is something that we don't get in other incredible works of Summer box-office art like...say...Bad Boys II. It's a little something called thematic development.

Having Hamman's voice as the moderate believer juxtaposed against that of Morpheus as the extremist believer is a breath of fresh air in that we're finally starting to see that Morpheus' ridiculously preachy role is kind of over the top. It helps us to open our minds to the next really pivotal dialogue scene: the one between Neo and the Oracle.

In actuality, this dialogue with Hamman could be seen as the critical turning point in the trilogy's ideologies from dogmatic to Socratic, thus marking the next major stepping stone in Neo's journey. And it starts way back in Zion.

Crucial scene.

Hehe...it's funny, coz I remember the first time I was watching Reloaded in the cinema, the action sequences were kinda lost on me! I was so into the dialogue scenes that they basically were my action scenes.

Still, when I saw it on my second viewing in IMAX, the action sequences left my brains splattered across the nice clean isle.

I guess I liked 'em.

Oh, come on! Probably the single best scene in the entire trilogy!

Akima wrote:

Nono It's known in many warrior cultures to actually engage in a dance ritual before battle. Plus, the fact that the scene is a beautiful audio-visual meditation on life and love makes it so artistically appealing. Kind of like the rain sequence in Ghost In The Shell or the parade sequence in Inosensu...or even the docking sequences in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Most of the action scenes in Revolutions wore out their welcome on me. The siege was long and pointless, God damn it Wink We'd seen that all before and the lack of usefull dialogue really made it drag.

But then of course there is the grand finale. Everything not involving the siege and Trinity's rescuing of Neo from Mobil Ave (though I loved Neo actually being in Mobil Ave) was awesome! But the action scenes, by the point of Revolutions, were no longer needed. By that point it had become too much of a think piece to sustain them.

I agree about love scenes being the worse and boring, especially in revolutions. There was a chemistry beetween them in M1 and somehow it was gone in M2.

I'd be surprised if I were alone in the matter, but the only thing I didn't like about the siege was the little portion with the Kid. HE was annoying as ever.

Thing is, that scene grew and grew, starting with the humans having the upper hand and confident, putting up a good fight for some time, and then suddenly every person could see there was no hope when the ocean of sentinels crashes through the roof. Then they win the battle by a stroke of good luck, or fate, if you like. It's scenes like this which will hopefully prepare us to witness such battles in our own lives.

Whitelaugh as soon as someone brought the worthless flick up. I don't see your point

Admit it, that kid, and the kid playing the kid, got under your skin, in a real annoying way. "Neo....I believe...." hate that line

My point is that the siege scene has been recycled by every movie since they started making talkies (probably before, though no immediate silent film example comes to mind). It's such a tired cliche that it belongs in a movie like Ep. 1, not in a kewl flick like the Matrix.
