As we know, the 'one' is just an anomoly of coding of the matrix... I was just thinking, like in M1, Neo is able to posess the bodies of agents and what not, but why doesnt he do it in the M2? If he is the one and see's everything for the code that is is, surely he can shift into other memory locations (those occupied by other programs) etc.. Perhaps?! If he has the abilities to stop bullets and so forth, that means he can change variables that objects posess as he wishes, so why doesnt he do more of that sorta stuff? (even though the fighting kicks ass). Think of it, agents are nothing more than programs running a finite amount of code moving through various memory locations in the matrix, so why doesnt Neo utilise that fact to simply destroy them, or set their code to an inactive state.. myself being a programmer, i know this is more than possible to do.

So bored Very Happy

What are your thoughts

Neo was only able to jump into Smiths 'body' after his 'death and ressurrection'...
In M2 Neo faces Upgrades and doesn't seem to need to jump into their progs... The Smith , Neo thingy happened for a reason... I feel that in M3 Smith will have to copy himself on to Neo to acheive his purpose as both are two halves of one whole... Hang on I've talked about this before; de-ja-vous...? Confused Very Happy

yea, in M1, morpheus said that the one could "change the matrix as he saw fit" (the scene when they're in the Neb and neo woke up from barfing)

so why doesnt neo just change the matrix so there arent any agents and what not???

Perhaps the Agents and so forth have write protection or something Wink.. Even so, for instance, how is an agents' state defined as 'inactive', surely if they were nothing more than code, apart from a human interface, they could just be as powerful as they liked. Or is it the physical limitation of the body they inhabit that determines if they are alive or dead?

Anyways, when are they going to free me...im being very patient

I like to think matrix is an operating system. All programs are running upong a scheduler and of course , neo is a special program, (maybe in a renice -19 Wink ),
which can set child process priority, or even start threads, whatever.
As an OS, the matrix has pipes, ioctls, and similar stuff. neo is able to dinamically call them, but not all them, just because the system does not provide some of them.
I believe the sense of "changing the matrix " sentece is very attached to the ability to
change the reality of our sensors, not the matrix itself. Neo receive much of code from the matrix , and alter them so his senses can make him believe whatever he wants.

why am I here ? Same reason :
I love candy...

If Neo were to possess (as Bane put it) other agents wouldn't he be setting them free as he did Smith?
