Thus did the G-d of the Israelites forbid His people to represent any divine thing. The Matrix of the films seems the ultimate graven image: a likeness of not only G-d, as seen in the face of Deus Ex Machina in Revolutions, but of all things in heaven and earth. This is a graven image to supersede all graven images, and one which indeed takes the place of the human experience of reality, such that anyone who experiences it knows no other G-d, nor man, but only what the Matrix allows him or her to see.

I believe it says that Thou Shalt Not Bow Down Before Any Graven Image.

Or maybe it just depends on how literally you take the translation.
