Yes, I saw MR 23 times (until now) , but the fact that the BOTTOM is longer because it starts from chest, head is up so it couldn´t expand more, so , what´s left? the lower limbs, the legs...a bit more distance before it vanish after expanding its energy all across NEO´s body.

What did you mean Mifune? Have you trained Ving Tchun and kickboxing?

I did kickboxing first as a training complement of ShotoKan Karate style, then in a gym as full discipline, and I studied Wing Chun theory form numerous books and articles for two years, and then implemented the knowledge adquired into my daily training...but, it´s a long time since I don´t visit a GYM because of my work... Neutral , I didn´t forget all and I still can do the full split! Whitelaugh

Aniway, the most simple thought is that those names are cool, and sounds good, and nothing else, if not, what the heck could mean in any philosophy or religion the names "TANK" or "DOZER" or "CYPHER"? as an example...

No good story has one layer of metaphor.

Tank and Dozer are, very simply, symbolic of the human machine - the mindless physical body. Their enormous mass is used to reinforce the fact that they represent the BODY of Man. Their names are used to reinforce the understanding that Man is a machine. In short, they are designed to add a complexity to the Man vs. Machine question: "What defines a machine?" Screwy

Cypher is a reference to a key for a cryptographic messaging system used in spy games (and now also for Internet security) for transmitting messages securely across enemy lines. If you think about his role in the movie, his name immediately makes sense - he's a spy for the machines. Evilredeyes

Or maybe that's just coincidence, and the names were picked simply "because they sound cool" as you suggest. Nono

It´s the first time that I see a complex , and inner, meaning of the things we see in the Matrix trilogy. I usually took the trilogy as a complex simple form of telling us a history, far from other meanings more philosophical or religious, but I must assume that the explanation you give us is UNBEATEABLE.

Congratulations.... Gumpred

I think my "sarcasm" is not as acid , if it is, I´m so sorry, I swear.

My spelling?, well, I try to mend my posts before submit them, but some errors happen... Screwy

I don´t pretend to be NOTHING, I only try to explain , from my inner sight, that the problem with the Matrix is that people´s hopes were so ambitious respect the meaning of the film, and then, and so, the two last films didn´t pleased or liked to the MATRIX fan/community... Whatthe I think the simplest way to see the trilogy is the simplest way to catch its meaning, instead of complicated pseudo-religious or phylosophical theories, even when the ones I´ve seen are so well structurated and could worth a Book itself.

Sorry for my VERY bad english. I know it sometimes SUCKS.... Gumpred

Come on, Keith, I thought you were an English major? Certainly you've studied Poe and his deep interest in cryptography and use thereof in his work. Certainly you know that "cipher" has more than one meaning (and accepted spelling)? Its most common use today is to describe a key + algorithm used in substitution cryptography. It's been used for centuries, and is persisted today in SSL cryptography on the Internet.

Personally, I think you're just arguing semantics to annoy me. Smile

Es verdad. Soy infalible. Y tu, con tu sarcasmo, piensas que eres "chevere?" Que eres "de pinga?" O que eres una pinga? En el futuro, no tienes que responder a mí - no necesito oir tu mierda.

Yes, I read the goddamn "Gold Bug".
Liked Poe before my age hit double digits.
Now prefer Lovecraft.
BTW, I thought the Matrix's sentinels were quite Lovecraftian.
Cthulhuesque, to coin a term. But before I further discuss literature here, one of you must translate the following passage and give an account of its origin and meaning:
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fthagn."
Not that we have to discuss literature, but a gal's gotta have her standards, you know?

yes that's right. I have been asking the question far and wide with un-acceptable answers. How is it possible for a sentinel to go through the ship. I even paused it on a part of the scene where you actually see the sentinel PHYSICALLY pass through the ship.

It's an energy 'ghost'.

Neo's connected to the electromagnetic frequency of the machine mainframe (referred to as "the Source").

The sentinel does a kamakaze dive, hitting the ship square on the front of the hull, smashing itself. But its residual energy remains and ploughs through Neo's body, which is attuned to the machine frequency.

The theory is that this connection with a machine body may have resulted in some sort of information 'download' that revealed to Neo that the sky was the machines' weakness, due to the clouds being host to electromagnetic lightning storms that short circuit machinery.
