[Matrix Reloaded]
Niobe: "What if all this - the prophecy, everything - is bullshit?"
Morpheus: "Then tomorrow we may all be dead, but how would that be different from any other day? This is a war, and we are soldiers. Death can come for us at any time, in any place..."
Morpheus: "Now consider the alternative. What if I am right? What if the prophecy is true? What if tomorrow the war could be over. Isn't that worth fighting for? Isn't that worth dying for?"

I have come up with too many theories about the plot, both before and after Revolutions. I grow weary of searching through vagueness. I'm sure I could come up with a theory that fit with my beliefs if I wanted.

i.e.: The Logos (the word, the Bible) containing both the Trinity and the Savior was sent to save the world from destruction. Morpheu$ believed in the Savior despite contrary evidence and he was proved right. Neo sacrificed himself in a cross-shaped display, saving humanity.

Wasn't that fun? The problem is, they put in names and what-not from nearly every major religion, just so people would do this very thing. The problem is, as is evident by Revolutions, that many religions are mutually exclusive, and thus do not make sense mixed into the same plot.

That doesn't make sense. Suspending logic is unintelligent!

i.e.: A guy walks up to you after kicking another man down. You ask him why he kicked that man and he replies, "I never kicked anyone." You then say, "I just saw you do it!" He replies, "well thats just your opinion."

This guy "suspended" logic for a second there, only to be proven an idiot.

Without intolerance, there can be no justice. Without justice, there can be no peace.

I think for this to make a sense a good amount of the plot must be explained...

Neo was never Smith's negative, the oricle never told whole truths and even lied some times. Morpheous was the only one who said it correctly "She told you exactly what you needed to hear." In revolutions we finally see that she was not only controlling the humans, but the machines aswell. The Architect, while the designer of the matrix it's self, was not the mind for controlling the resistance outside the matrix, and so the oricle told the architect exactly what he needed to hear. A set up from day one.

It is my deduction that everything told to them up to that very point was a lie, one that neather were capable of seeing through, and manuvered them right where the oracle wanted them. Of course, the meeting did not go as expected for eather of them. The Artitect still clinging to his equasions until the impending future was directly infront of him, and Neo the same.

I think the arcitect wanted and was expecting Neo to take the door to the right.

Or basicly.. The Arcitect was a programer, who thought the oricle was working in league with him... she was the psycologist.

Yah, esc, I thought that might be what they were trying to say by killing Trinity. But, I think that's a stretch.

tsk tsk. Neo was not an architect and a door has no will of its own. Besides, even if these things were possible none of the answers could fit the question.
I would like to take this opportunity to reiterrate how much Revolutions sucked. A LOT.

...but this seems like a better thread.

I don't think there's such a thing as a "right" or a "wrong" door.

How can we be sure that all the "Ones" previous to Neo were offered this choice? My guess is that they weren't. They just went straight to The Source, disseminated their code, chose the 23 people, and reloaded The Matrix.

The reason Neo is offered this choice is because things are different now. Smith got out of their control and is threatening with exterminating both humans and machines, and they realize that the only one who can take care of Smith is Neo. Also, because the choice The Architect offers Neo is "just an illusion", like The Merovingian said.

And of course, all this scenario, this change in the cycle, was caused by The Oracle. Her reasons to do this? To guide Neo? That's another topic.

Therefore, It didn't matter which door Neo chose, cause it was just an illusion. If The Architect had told Neo what to do, he probably would've given him the finger. If mister doesn't shut up then I tell mister what I think of him

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

What is it with you people? What is the matter with all of you for god sake? Can't you all see that stinkz has a VERY GOOD POINT? Can't you simply see it? Everyone in this forum, with some little exeptions, have their minds into the fact that THE-MATRIX-CAN-EXPLAIN-ITS-PLOT-BY-SIMPLY-KNOWING-IT-IS-ALL-ILOGICAL-AND-PURE-FANTASY.
I know it a is only a movie, a SCIENCE FICCION one, put nevertheless it started(on M1) based primarly on LOGIC AND REALISM...stinkz it right to defendi it self by telling everyone to get that the logic has been lost, so as REALISM. All of everyone's ideas and theory's they have ever thought while sleepin in bed are all SPECULATIONS! None of them will an can never be apllied, specially those which are suported by ILOGICAL arguments such as : NEO'S POWERS COME FORM THE SOURCE....Come on! What kind of explanation is that? Can a single orfinary human being obtain real super-human powers from a form of energy such as the source, and magically likewise ? Sure, the powers of Neo and his friends had LOGICAL explanations....they where inside a computer program known as the matrix, they could bend the rules, because there where NONE! It is an illusion! But in the real world? Moreover, after Neo stopped the sentinels in M2 at the end, question rised up so high, that there was no way to explain the amount of questions there where...but no, at M3, when neo went to the Oracle, and everyone expected to hear THE "BEST" EXPLANATION FOR NEO'S POWERS....she came up(the brothers did) such as " the powers of the one extend from this world...all over to where it came from....the source" COME ON! WHAT KIND OF EXLANTION IS THAT? IS THAT SUPPOSED TO CLEAR THING UP AND EXPLAIN IT? No, it didn't, it placed things on another point of view....THE FANTASY ONE....the movie(if that is the final explanation for neo's powers) became unreal....it became FANTASY...like the lord of the rings? Yes we could make a comparison with it, because they both rise up the same facts....UNREAL ones, such as how do people have magic? We don't care! Cuz' we already know it is a FANTASY movie! But no, in the matrix there has to be a similar explanation for neo's powers such as that....this time, we DO CARE! Why? Because it is a science ficcion movie and not one as the lord of the rings...sure it has twisted things, but under the parameters of LOGIC, of technology, of REACHABLE events such as A.I making a illusion world in which we all are imprisioned.

PLease try and understand the real point here.

Yes but remember the arcitect is the creater of the matrix, his purpose is rules, control, balance, order and so-forth, so naturally he would want Neo to go throught the right door, to keep balance.

But in saying that dee you are right Neo would make things right whatever door he chooses

I also think that the Architect expected Neo to do the right thing. But I don't understand why it was necessary to make a choice at all. Maybe Neo is just required to accept the system out of free will to close the cycle...

Yes, that is the answer to many questions about the Matrix. And this fact is fascinating and disappointing at the same time...

I'll just copy and paste my answer from another thread :

Clockwork wrote:

Why is the choice thing so important ? Or more precisely, why is the illusion of choice so important ?

My simple answer is: this is the very true nature of the matrix (version 3.0). Without that choice, the code is not usefull.

Kinda analogous to the 'Eyes of the Oracle' : they cannot be taken, they can only be given ...

=> the (improved *) One-code cannot be taken, it can only be given (in the form of illusion of free will/choice).

OTTAWA — Canadians are bracing themselves for a bad news budget from Prime Minister Stephen Harper's government and are firmly opposed to the Tories' plan to slash the public nike-air-jordan.org... pension system for future senior citizens, a new poll has found.

The national survey by Ipsos Reid nike-air-max-pascher.org..., conducted for Postmedia News and Global TV, suggests that while Canadians are ready for a March 29 austerity budget that slashes government spending to reduce the deficit, the public has not yet accepted Harper's argument for why the pension system needs to be cut.

The poll found that 49 per cent of Canadians are preparing for a "bad news" budget from federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty and that 57 per cent do not "trust" Harper and the Conservatives to make the "right choices" to ensure the budget is "fair and reasonable nike-air-max-pascher.net...."

As well nike-air-max90.net..., more than two-thirds of Canadians oppose the view that the country needs to "sacrifice" pensions to keep taxes down or increase the retirement age to control rising pension system costs.

"If he moves on pensions, it's going to get nasty," Ipsos Reid president Darrell Bricker said in an interview Friday.

Bricker said it's clear the government has "conditioned" the public for a tough budget and that Canadians won't be expecting tax cuts or a message of "sunshine and celebration" from Flaherty air-max-soldes.net....

But it has failed to prepare the public for the political time bomb — on pension cutbacks — that seems ready to explode.

"To the extent that there is going to be a controversial and difficult part of this budget that could get the government in some real difficulty acheternikechaussures.org..., it would be around this issue. It's because they have not made the case."
