I saw Trin dying in the EMP
Also, Neo was lieing dead (?) after he killed all agents.

At the end when that little girl asked Oracle if she would see Neo again, Oracle told: "I suspect so. Someday."

I can't understand if Neo and Trin is dead or not?

Trinity's dead that much is for sure. She's not coming back. Neo on the other hand is up for debate. For the longest I didn't believe he was dead. But Neo said what Smith was doing to him (copying over him) felt like dying. He said that in Reloaded so Smith finished copying over him so he must've killed Neo or the shock of the electricity was too much for a human to handle. But if the Oracle said we would see him someday we probably will. My theory is that Neo is stuck in Mobil Ave.

Maybe he's in a coma. Like the fight with Smith trapped his mind in another place, or something like that. Perhaps the Oracle's comment about seeing him again referred to his struggle to escape that place, and return to his body and his friends. That's what I think.

(Plus, it would be way cool, AND give the Wachowskis a reason to make another sequel, which would kick ass.)

hello folks if you let me i want to say:

one of the mayor problems with the movies is the tendency to take metaphors as facts. Don't read metaphors as facts.

another one is this:
the function and meaning of the characters, change.
do not always represent the same thing. for instance sometimes Neo and Trinity represents two different persons
and can be taked like to separated beings BUT sometimes they both are one person, each one representing two different aspects of one thing.

(please keep in mind this: the use and blend of many philosofical stuff from many religions is not my personal idea is the Wachowsky bros who rely to them in order to give structure to the whole trilogy)

for example: When Trinity dies, it can be viewed like two different things.

1)in budhism its been said, that what causes the reincarnation is something called "causal" body.
this "body" is the sum of three things: physical body, emotinal body and mental body, also this "causal body" is what drives the soul in first instance.
but this philosophy say that in a certain moment this drive have to cease so the soul has to do the final work by himself
in order to break the endless cycle of reincarnation this body have to die.
so representing the internal process thatīs why Trin dies

2)Externally and in a very similar way, if you notice Neo is always "drived" by external stuff, first Morpheus inspire Neo then the Oracle (Zion too),even the Merovingian say:

"you are here because you were sent here"
"you were told to come here, and then you obeyed"

then the love that he share with Trinity is his motivation, and finally at the end he have to finish the job by himself he moves because of his will.
so in the final showdown with Smith:

Smith asks, "Why, Mr. Anderson, why do you persist?" And Neo's reply is,

Because I choose to.

the whole history is based on many, many things like karma and wheels of creation, worlds over worlds, in that sense cycles
for example i said this in another post:

in the way of balance or cycles let say that Humanity achieved simple godhood by creating beings in its own image. It will achieve complex godhood by reuniting with its estranged children. At the same time, so will machines

Neo's -- humanity's -- path is toward reunion with The Source, with God. At the same time, the machines' path is toward reunion with another God, the human beings who created them. They are each other's path to the divine. As the Oracle said, the only way forward is together.

everything in the movies represent an equation that need to be balanced not only the relation NEO / SMITH

Like others have said, Trinity is definetely dead, as her time of helping Neo on the path to realising he is the One is over, but Neo's death may or may not be real.

I believed it was real, but I also thought that maybe the Oracle meant that the One would return one day, after the peace had broken between the machines and the humans, and the One was needed to end the war again. The Oracle may see that this war keeps repeating, like the previous six times the machines have destroyed Zion, and the One may come back, but maybe not as Neo.

not ordinary human: The One.(the power of the one extends far beyond this world -and more crap like this -- to the source.)

I personally like the idea that the end of the first matrix movie is actually set after the other two. It's the only way the date makes sense, because revolutions and reloaded cover only a few days span, and they happen about six months after the events in The Matrix. But the difference in dates in The Matrix is quite a bit more than six months. (I can't remember how many) and Neo seems much more serious.
