Because these are elements of our soal , not our intelect . We don't rationalize love and hope , we feel it . Can a machine feel ? Do they have a soal ?
In A.I. Artificial Inteligence , the little boy was programmed to love , so who knows , maybe they can .

None the less, the Architect isn't that program either, so he cannot "guess" which door Neo will go through.

A lack of creativity doesn't necessarily make the Architect less manipulative. I mean, come on, this guy runs a WORLD. He knew which door Neo was going through. Things aren't what they seem....

Well, I guess if the Architect was counting on Neo to choose one of the doors, and the choice would have a direct impact on the Architects "life", he would have done more to stop Neo if the left door was the "wrong" door.

Yeah, if it were really so important, the Architect could merely have made one of his stooges have the appearance of Trinity's residual self-image. And had her help convince Neo of the importance of choosing the "right" door. Probably, things can't even be reset since agent smith has overwritten the whole city(at least). So, he needed Neo to go back and correct that problem, since he is the one that altered smith's code, and created the whole mess.

Yup. Neo had to make the choice to prove to the machines how important love is. Now the Architect can report back to the main AI that the Matrix has achieved its goal, and that the human race can be set free. The only problem is that everybody is overwritten by Smith, so Neo must restore the last backup before exiting.

All signs seem to be pointing to the fact that Neo did indeed return to the Source when he chose the left door:

1. The Oracle asks him what he sees when he goes through the door made of light, which is the Source, and he answers that he sees Trinity falling. Thus, the door that is assumed to return to the Matrix is in fact the machine mainframe.

2. Merovingian stresses that choice is an illusion and that Neo is merely a slave to causality, the choice to save Trinity (to enter the Source) has already been made and Neo will have no control over his own actions.

3. Most importantly, the Architect tells Neo that like the other Ones before him, he has an embedded “profound attachment to humanity” which will force him to chose to enter to the Source, as it did for all the previous Ones. What separates Neo from the others is that this attachment is manifested in his love for Trinity. Thus the Architect already knows that Neo will chose to save Trinity over all else, which has to be the choice to enter the Source.

This theory would support the ‘Matrix within the Matrix’ idea, when Neo goes through the left door, he enters the machine mainframe which may just be another simulation.
