»corny and cheesy lines...«

i gotta say there were some pretty interesting quotes and lines in the Matrix movies....but there were also corny ones. For example:
Matrix 1: Trinity: "God dam you Cypher!" if i were trinity and this dude just killed 2 of my friends....id b pretty f'ing pissed....i could think of a few words to say to a guy who killed my pals....please reply.

Yeah true. In my opinion; its just another allegory of putting Cypher as a traitor. Since he resembles Judas in The Bible, he was dammed by God. And this was because Judas be trade Christ in exchange for money, which is the same thing that Cypher did to Morpheus and Zion. Thats my reason.

I agree with Exodus and the information stated in the Bible. Besides, if Trinity flipped out the way you wanted her to entertainment=death it would ruin the quality of the movie. Not in that sense, but in the speech ethics way.

yeah but that would be cool. trinity kicking the shit out of like 10 agents.

That was a good quote I think, very straight foward. The worst quote in the movies I think was....uumm....eh I don't like to look for these things in movies. It ruins my perspective about them. This trilogy was made perfectly I think.

"Upgrades"

That was lame.

Mmm...upgrades is a pretty funny line in a movie that's so serious. To me the cheesiest line is in Revolutions when the Kid is about to shoot the gate open and says, "Neo I believe." Like Neo could hear him, all that did was waste time.

Whats wrong with the line "Upgrades"? It was totally relevant to where he was at in the story. When he threw a punch at the agent, the agent blocked it, so obviously this is better agents than Matrix 1 - remember at the end where Neo was fighting smith with 1 hand, so this time he goes for 2 hands and they block it. I see an upgrade! Get what I am saying?

Yes, but I think it's kind of cheesy.

Actually like: "Hmm, upgrades." Takes me back to when I first Reloaded the very first night that it was played.

lol ok I know I said that I don't like to judge movies in this way (--see my second post in this thread--), but I have to agree with jermaine..."Neo, I believe" is a very un-needed quote. It was good in The Animatrix, but in Revolutions....its just pushing it.

What is wrong with the Upgrades line honestly...I thought that was an actually cool line...it gives the feeling that Neo is invincible and he is like bagging the agents which makes it funny too...anyway I like that line.

The dude in reloaded that says "bomb, did he say bomb". I really don't like that line or the way it is delivered.

The Oracle: I made a choice and that choice cost me more than I wanted it to.
Morpheus: What choice?
The Oracle: To help you, to guide Neo. Now, since the real test for any choice is having to make the same choice again - knowing full well what it might cost - I guess I feel pretty good about the choice, cause, here I am... at it again.

I must admit, that's a pretty crummy way to explain the Oracle's new appearance. Her reponse skirts the issue entirely. Regardless of the actresses death, the writers could have thought of a less convoluted and condescending response. I felt duped.
