if you've played jedi outcast and enter the matrix, there is not much difference between force powers and 'focusing' your mind in the matrix

in both:
you can run along the walls and do flips and jump high
jedi outcast- run really fast with your surroundings flying past you
enter the matrix- run really fast with your surroundings moving at a snail's pace
both have some cool weapons

as for the movies...

neo has displayed some real mastery of the force, he could probably defeat yoda, no wait, yoda is no match for neo.
he is beyond fast (force speed)
used telekinesis (force push or pull)
he healed trinity (force healing)
flys (do jedis fly? or do they just levitate?)
shock therapy (force lightning)

but as for the merovingian being a father gives me an idea related to some mythology
