»Mistakes and Corrections«

Since you generously asked to be corrected on your grammatical mistakes, I generously offer this list of errors found in the first couple of sections on the mainpage:

1.) The titles of the "Matrix" films should be separated from the rest of the text, such as by using quotation marks or by italicizing it (according to the MLA Handbook, it should be italicized).

2.) Under the heading of "'Matrix Revolutions' Eats Its Own Fans," the two sentences of the third paragraph should, in fact, be one (the latter is a fragment).

3.) Under the subheading of "Dude, where is my matrix?" (shouldn't "matrix" be capitalized?), the first paragraph has three mistakes: there should be two spaces after the colon; "He" shouldn't be capitalized; and "4" should be written out. Additionally, only one method of emphasis is allowed; if you are going to capitalize for emphasis, don't also use boldface.

4.) In the second paragraph: "how this was possible" and "what would the twists be that the Wachowski brothers had up their sleeves for Revolutions?" shouldn't be in quotation marks (and the latter shouldn't end with a question mark); and the first two "Matrix" films are not called "Matrix 1" and "Matrix 2."

5.) In the fourth paragraph: an ellipsis consists of three dots, not four (and I, personally, wouldn't add the colon at the end of the last sentence).

6.) Your quotation is transcribed incorrectly (the use of a numeral, the use of an ellipsis, the capitalization of "the" in "the Source").

7.) In the seventh paragraph: once again, "5" should be written out; and the period goes outside of the paranthetical aside, not within it.

8.) Eighth paragraph: the use of the word "shall" is incorrect.

9.) Ninth paragraph: the period should be within the quotation marks, not ouside.

10.) Last paragraph: "Victims of their own riddles" and "Discredited by the words of their own heroes" are both fragments.

I should like to ask the webmaster a very simple question: what's the point of having an entire forum dedicated to the reporting of grammatical mistakes if he doesn't act upon them?
