I noticed that during the Architect's speech when he mentions humans being at their worst (grotesquieries or however you spell it) G. Bush Sr., and G. W. Bush are shown.

It was no coincedence and because of the way the Wachowski Brothers think it makes it more evident. I just thought this was on point.

Revolution is the birth of equality and the antithesis to oppression...

Hmmm...interesting...

Hardly a coincidence, you are right about that...Very Happy
Anybody know anything on the Wachowskis political opinions ?

But I think they should be a little careful sending messages like that. Someone might consider it a manipulation of human subconsciousness (spelling?), sending hidden, political messages in the background of a movie...

I just find it hilarious though Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

I dont think you guys get me right (im probably no expressing myseslf that well either)...

My point is, that political messages should not be applied through a movie, or at least not at that level...

I'll let the americans discuss the events at their election themselves...none of my business...

I understand what you're saying and you make a good point.

The movie is based on revolution, change and thinking from another point of view which is the opposite of Bush who is a conservative and a conformist. It's obvious that the W. Brothers do not like or support the Bush's.

Two things:

A) I agree that the Wachowskis should have left their political opinions out of the movie. However, what's done is done and there's nothing we can do to change it.

B) Yes, I'm a Bush fan. No, Bush is not a conservative. Conservatives are for less government. Does the so-called PATRIOT Act sound like 'less government' to you?

C) Agent Zero: Get off my side. You make it look stupid. And what the fuck does transexuality have to do with anything?

D) Jeffshag: For the love of God, don't encourage him!

politics are a joke. doesnt anyones see this yet? bush and kerry are from the same family first off and they really have no power beyond what they are programmed with(actually they both do but they have 'sold' it).

hell, look at the where the word 'politics' comes from....in latin....bloodsuckers....get it yet?

politics are part of the matrix system and anyone who buys into them are under more control than they actually realize.

wake up!

Sorry Agent Zero, I was only shaking my head... because well, it seems you are the one with the complex. I didn't come out and say, "Hey! I don't like Bush!" I just simply said, some people will never learn. You were the one rushing to save your precious leader... El was just pointing out a view of the W. Broz' possibly "political message", not saying it was a correct assumption or whatnot, just calling it for what it's worth a possible "political message."

Hell, I like Bush, I like bald ones better... But hey, everybodys got their preference. Larry likes to dress like a girl.

But most of all, IT WAS A F'N JOKE!

If Bush isn't a conservative then Fidel Castro likes the U.S. government.

The patriot act is an example of implementing conservative ideals. Hundreds of thousands of people are being racially profiled because they are or look like they are from the middle east. Bush is also strictly against gay marriage - a right they should have. They are being denied rights just as Blacks were once not allowed to vote in the U.S.

But this isn't the point I was trying to raise in this thread. The fact is that the Brothers implemented some of their political views, blatantly, within their movie. Now that I think more about it, I'm glad they did it because often times within movies people push their own views and ideals and that's just freedom of expression. You don't have to necessarily agree with it, but that's what it is.

: ) I have never noticed the images of Bush and his Papa...
Well, he didn't show Ben Laden... I guess it says a lot about their political views...
They also should have included Sharon...

Several points on this discussion:
Conservatives have stopped being conservatives since Reagan administration - their dream of small gvmnt + no budget deficit ended right there.
Democrats now are the ones who are talking about fiscal responsibility now...

However, their foreign policy is pretty much the same: bomb any country that doesn't act like it should and is located in Europe or Middle East. The rest of the world can do whatever,,, Most americans are usually not even able to pronounce the names of the countries right.

Bush and Kerry are made of the same dough... Rich families... Yale education... Same secret society... Both religious... Same foreign policy... (besides treatment of french)...

I really don;t care for Bush... Or Kerry... Although I was born in US, I can afford to leave the country and live somewhere else indefinetely, maybe even in France... America is a great country but it doesn't mean it will stay great forever...
---------------------------
Even when you have the purest of intentions and want to change the system - once you become involved in politics - you become the agent of the system.... System which will corrupt you, your beleifs, your values, your actions, your dreams, and make you serve the system itself....

You obvisouly know what you're talking about and haven't fallen prey to all the media propoganda. You're saying what others either don't wnat to hear or believe.

As far as the movie goes, the scene is towards the middle of the Architect's speech when he says he re-designed the matrix after the first one failed.

Why did America have to go to War?
He posed no threat to US - period... WMDs never been found...

America is not bad - president is bad...

And one more thing: noone can find any major mass graves in Iraq... Look up Amnesty International report on Iraq... Noone can find a large number of dead bodies... Let alone "hundreds of thousands"...

Agent Zero, I do care about foriegn policies, but I don't value them much when I see other problems that are closer to home. I believe Bush is a bad leader because he caters to the rich, he fuels the corruption of our government, it is obvious, by the fact that as a Texas Governer during a time when the state had the countries highest execution rate(all of which he had to authorize) that he doesn't value human life that much. He is NOT the cause of corruption, nor is he the only one involved, but yet, he helps corruption continue to exist and get stronger. The Patriot Act, his "tax cuts", even his "no child left behind" act, are all domestic issues which Bush is failing us with. We need a leader that is willing to stand up for individual rights, speak against the corporatization(if that's even a word, but atleast I didn't say "Sublimbinal") that is engulfing every area of our lives. Not a leader who is busy screwing us on the homeland and using an over-sees "war" to gather all the attention. The liberals scream "STOP WAR" and the conservatives yell "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! GET THOSE BASTARDS!", all the while... Our privacy(I have no problem with the FBI investigating me, because I have done nothing wrong but, I do have a problem when corporations are granted this same power and use it to their advantage), rights, dollars, and basic way of life are stolen right from under our noses.

I know what you're going to say, "If a leader doesn't help out the corps. then he wouldn't get re-elected" That's true. But being re-elected isn't what being the President should be about. It should be about making changes for the better and hoping the next guy continues the trend.

politics are another mechanism designed to make people(those that buy into it) believe they actually have a say so in who will be 'president'. it does not matter who votes. as long as we have the current system then those people we see in the spotlight are PUT there. first off, sadam hussein was put there in power by the same ones that put bush in office. it is ALL in the script. we all need to look away from the movie screen we call 'this world' and see whats really behind it all. thats the problem. too many are focused on the screen without ever seeing the projector. either way these people are in power because we LET THEM! i see it as a projection of us and our current state of consciousness. when we awake from this state(some have) then we can finally realize we have been looking at the walls of the 'cave'. look away!look away!
