Great! This is a great idea.......

There certainly seems to be no way of disproving it....

Reloaded and revolutions might be the sixth failed attempt of the one, M1 could be the 7th successful attempt

Strangely, going back to oriental tradition, doesn't the number 7 have some kind of special meaning?

I would say no based on Neo and Smith's next meeting. They talk about how Neo "destroyed" smith.

I do think that the last scene in M1 could possibly be the end to the trilogy though.

1 thing that freaked me out when i first read it is this. I first heard that another Matrix movie was coming out from a friend long before any previews came out. He told me that the next movie would be a prequel. Kinda strange, huh?

It wouldn't make any sence that the final scene of The Matrix could be "forseen" by the Architect in the TV room. If that was the case, the Architect wouldn't even taken the chance, and would destroy NEO right there and then!

Cool idea, have added it.

Tank and Dozer + The Architect

If the whole of M1 comes after M3 then how would they know that Tank and Dozer were dead?

Also, Morpheus mentions that the designer of the Matrix was a human born into the Matrix who had the power to create it as he saw fit.

Therefore surely the Architect is this person. If so, although he is now almost completely mechanised maybe there is that little bit of human still left in him that chooses to ignore the phone booth scene at the end of M1...

M1 does NOT come after M3. Neo is talking to the machines controlling the matrix at the end of the first movie. It's that simple.. You guys are reading too much into specific dialog.

And... just because the Matrix could possibly cycle doesn't mean that there isn't a big change after this cycle of the matrix.

Ever think that Neo and Smith are unexpected side effects during THIS cycle of the matrix. Perhaps the unbalanced equations caused there to be something more then just "The One".... perhaps this cycle of the Matrix is different.. it seems like a lot of the program hint at the fact "it's different" this time around.

If the trailers are true and Neo fights Smith... whether he wins or loses.. its obvious that he strikes a deal with the machines... so if he gets rid of Smith in the end he has kept his side of the deal.. and the machines will free some of the minds. Remember from the first movie when Morpheus says that after a certain age they don't typical free a mind cause it can't handle reality and the person dies.

So obviously everyone in the matrix can't be freed even if Neo wins. So what happens to them if the machines were all destroyed? They'd all die.

The only outcome is for Smith to be destroy by Neo using any means possible.. by doing this for the machines they can free the minds that want to be freed.

Any other ending would be dumb and unlogical.

The real problem is... how will they explain his super powers outside the matrix? Obviously he has some sort of a connection to the machines thru the matrix... but how he manages to stop them while not plugged will be something difficult to explain..

Right now i'm assuming its a anime/comic style movie and in the end we will just have to accept that he has a connection to the machines even though he isn't connected to the matrix. I have my doubt it will be explained. I hope people don't diss the movie if its not given a physical reasoning.

Either way.. the battle in zion and the neo/smith fight should make it a crazy action packed movie... unlike the first or second movies. I'm sure the overwhelming CG packed action will give the movie the proper ending for the trilogy.

Look, at the end of M1 Neo tells the machines that they may make the next move etc etc. 6 months pass and the ppl of Zion free more minds than ever. Now in M2 the machines make the next move: they start to dig towards Zion and the story goes on. Mkay?

They wouldn't show this in a trailer.

How do you know it's the real world? What do the show?
