I dont know where to ask this question, this section looks good as any. Anybody heard the "Overdrive" song from Juno Reactor/ Don Davis Mona Lisa in Matrix Reloaded? Its the background music to the car chase on the freeway.

My question is what do the words in the song say. It only has one line in it, i was wondering if anyone knows what they are saying and what it means. It sounds like latin(?).

Its a long song, 10.08 mins, the words are around 6.27 mins.

Thanks

It took some searching on the net but i finally found something.

Its a choir singing "Kyrie Eleison".

Kyrie Eleison (Greek for "Lord have mercy"; the Latin transliteration supposes a pronunciation as in Modern Greek) is a very old, even pre-Christian, expression used constantly in all Christian liturgies. Arrian quotes it in the second century: "Invoking God we say Kyrie Eleison". A more obvious precedent for Christian use was the occurrence of the same formula in the Old Testament. In these places it seems already to be a quasi-liturgical exclamation.

Its supposed to go like this...

Kyrie Eleison
Kyrie Eleison
Kyrie Eleison

Christe Eleison
Christe Eleison
Christe Eleison

Kyrie Eleison
Kyrie Eleison
Kyrie Eleison

The song only holds one line of the verse above. But listening to the words it seems like something more than Kyrie Eleison is being said. Sounds like Kyrie _____ _____ Kyrie _____ Eleison. If anyone knows any better please say.

The words in the song come at the time when morpheous waits for the twins on the bridge. It might be implying - Lord have mercy on his soul, he's about to die.
