Hi,
I found a french interview on that i'll try to translate. Since it is very long, I'll make at my ease day to day.
I ask you guys' help to correct my mistakes since english is not my mother tongue, in order to make that interview "readable" for you anglphones. Here it goes !

What's your record before you became the fx supervisor in BUF company ? What are the different profiles of the crew's members you worked with ?
STEPHANE CERETTI
I have worked for BUF for 8 years, before that I had worked a little bit in the videogames but my first job in the VFX was at BUF. I have a physician background (a degree) and I've followed a training at the Emile Cohl school from Lyon, wich is specialized in the training for visual arts, computer graphics, multimedia and cartoons.
At Buf, I worked on a lot of advertising, and a few movies like Batman et Robin, "les visiteurs 2" (at my beginnings), Simone and The Cell as a supervisor.
Our crew is made up of people coming from various places. There are scientists, maths brains, computer engineer and mostly artists.
note from Apocryphe : here are some unpublished pics of making of of the take over of the Oracle :

Did the same crew work on both movies ?
STEPHANE CERETTI
For the supervising, yes, it was the same crew, but some key-persons stayed, not everyone. BUF had less plans on Revolutions than on Reloaded. In all, about 30 persons worked on both movies.

"The script was very dense, but not very explanatory"

Why and how BUF company has been contacted for that movie ?
STEPHANE CERETTI
We already had been contacted for the first movie, but at the time we could not participate to the project.
Don't forget that the bullet time is a "derived" technic invented by BUF in the middle of the 90's !

In fact, it's always because of a bunch of reasons that a company is chosen rather than another one. I think that they felt like they wanted to work with BUF for a long time and that our previous works were showing our capacity to provide quality images along with the contraints of a big american production. I don't believe at all in a "french touch", I would rather say BUF's touch

How long has the creating of the special effects lasted for the two movies ?
STEPHANE CERETTI
Including months of visual research before the post-production, we have worked from early 2001 till septembre 2003. In any case at BUF company.

Were complete scripts or specific production notes of Reloaded and Revolutions revealed to your crew, in order to be immersed by the VFX spirit ?
STEPHANE CERETTI
For the script, it was only the two producers and myself. You had to be on the spot to read the script ! But we got all the story boards and the design/concepts at BUF in order to be able to discuss about it with the crew, it was essential.

Do the original script of the brothers contain informations that could help or direct the understanding of the movie ?
To be continued when I'll have more time... (I know you're dying to know more about the scripts... suspens
