Newbie's Ideas...

Hi all, just found this great site. I actually just now got around to seeing M2 and M3. I do have some ideas and questions for you all...

1. Are all the humans in the fields "clones"? The belligerent captain said that no human had been to the machine city in over a hundred years. Hearing this makes me assume that the fields have been in place for generations, possibly hundreds of years. Since obviously humans in the pods can't interact with one another, then we can assume that the machines have become quite profecient at cloning or at least manipulating the procreation process.

2. Zion is not a program. The machines would be begging for a revolt if that was the best place they could come up with for humans to truly "exist".

3. The One is not just a mathematical anomaly. I believe that The One is a "grown" human that is "born" with a soul. That's the basic separation of human intellect and mathematical fact, is that humans using faith in one's self can think beyond logic and science. Was Neo the One? You bet. He just had to be shown how to have faith in himself.

4. Neo is enlightened and physically quite dead. He does exist in the Matrix. When the humans revolt again, 'cause that's what us pesky humans are best at, he will appear again.

5. All the humans that were "Smith-ed" will be free. At the end of M3, we see bunches of little flashes from way in the air, and I think that's each human that will be freed. Which brings me to my next idea...

6. There is more than one Matrix on Earth. I think the one featured in the films is based in Chicago (the W bros. home, you can see the general geography in the air during the Burly Brawl.) The Architect didn't seem too peeved that just about every human in his system would be freed. This leads me to think that all the machines on the planet coexist and feed that central city where Deus Ex Machina and all associates are at. Imagine every metropolitan area on the planet having a human harvest field and its own Matrix with the culture of that area intertwined therein.

7. Smith was just a nasty computer virus that spread after joining code with a human soul. I think this must have happened before, since as posted elsewhere, he has human emotions, and yearns to be free.

8. I think Neo will help the seventh and final One. With all the religious under and overtones of the films, I believe the signifigance of the Seventh One will be the true rebuilding of the human race. One the Matrix side he/she will rule the place with no fear of harm, and on the outside she will devise a plan to clear the sky and finally destroy the foothold the machines have over humans. The machines would need our help to reconfigure themselves for solar power or be defeated. Seeing how the sentinels fell back to earth once they got above the cloud deck makes me think this.

9. I think the MxO is a fantastic idea. It allows the players to write the story. I hope it works out as good as it is theorized. It'd be great to see the W bros. give the green light to the Animatrix 2 in three years or so with some of the player's progressions and fates.

Finally, this place is great. I've read just about every theory post and am amazed at the depth you guys/gals have gone. Outstanding site, now flame away!

... or it could be the optimal way of fooling the humans that this is the real "real world"!

If they woke up in just another matrix look-alike, wouldn't that make at least a few wonder, if this isn't just another matrix?

There is an even more interesting question here: How is pregnancy emulated in the Matrix? How is the fetus in the Matrix connected to a real human? Do the machines put together the genes of the couple mating in the Matrix, and then let it grow in the fields, and then connecting it to the battery rack?

This is a good point zynxamek, could it be that the machines just create the allusion of someone being pregnat inside the matrix, until it is time to insert the baby into the matrix.
