Well, if the rule about spoons where you can bend a spoon with your mind because there actually is no spoon applies to ANYTHING else in the matrix...would it be possible for it to apply to EVERYTHING in the matrix?

Examples:

Spoon; I can bend a spoon because it's just a figment of my imagination...there's no real physical substance to it at all.

Air; I can fly (assuming I already know I can break the rules of gravity because there isn't an actual physical EARTH to create gravity inside the matrix) anywhere I want, as fast as I want (as fast, because in a world without physical substance, distance is also non-existant).

Weapons; In M3, Neo grabs weapons off the wall with some sort of weird telekenisis move...they just float right through the air into his hands...

The whole matrix world is inside a person's head. The sky's not even the limit when you're inside the matrix. The people in the fields that the machines harvest never use their own eyes, or nose, or ears, or any senses...the Matrix supplies the senses to those people. Every one of those people is basically trapped inside their own head, having the machines pump experiences into em.

Neo obviously gets saved by Morpheus and his buds, so he doesn't have to worry about the machines supplying experiences through those cords/tubes/whatever the heck those were...but he knows that he can come up with his own experiences inside the matrix when they hack into it.

I guess what I'm getting at here is that Neo just has a great imagination. When he's inside the matrix, he can just THINK something and it happens. Kinda surprises me that he didn't just think to himself when he busted through the door in the mountains..."Damn, I need to be in the city," and then just be in the city, instead of flying there....

Am I nuts?

Some enlightened monks have been believed to be capable of teleportation, however I don't think it would have been anything like as exciting if Neo did that

Esc(damn u) has uncovered my evil plot to find out the real identities by making a hall of fame of them with all their info so i cud easily pull their plug so i will leave for now and come bac with all the info i need somehow

This is my theory: Not anything is possible in the matrix. Here's why: If one hacking into the matrix was absolutely sure it wasn't real, then they could do absolutely anything. BUT if they were absolutely sure it wasn't real, then they couldn't hack in at all. They would just sit there with the stick in their head, in the real world, becuase their mind would not buy it. Hence you need to believe to a certain degree that the matrix is real to even be in it, so what changes you make are only the part of your brain that is left knowing that it isn't real. Hacking in is two things: accepting that you at least in part are in the matrix, and that if you want to change it, you need in part to know; there is no spoon. Surely if you don't believe something is real, it doesn't mean you can't act as if it were.

You know a painting is just paint, but you act as if it were an image of something real in order to decipher it. You know that the things that happen in movies with special effects are just light on a wall and yet you act as if they were real things happening. You see ink marks on a page and yet you read the ink marks as words and form a picture of what the descriptions tell you.

You don't need to believe something is real in order to act as if it is real.

The matrix is real 2 sum extent, duhh its not real life but it is still a simulation u are plugged into, even tho it is Artificially engineered it still takes place in ur mind, so it is real jus means that once u realise that "it is not the real world" u can focus and bend/break the rules of the matrix

To bend the rules of The Matrix, a lot of mental power as well as a free mind is required. The main reason that the kid in the Oracle's apartment and Neo were able to bend spoons was because they knew the spoon wasn't real and freed their minds from any pre-conceptions, or paradigms. So, not everyone can do it that easily.
