I noticed a lot of anarchist themes. One is the portrayal of bosses. Rhinehart is portrayed rather negatively and corporations are described as anti-individualistic, very socialist and and anti-authoritarian, thus anarchist.

Then there is the whole part about humans being used as a power source. It's much like how capitalism is based on the business owner exploiting the worker (Which is where the phrase "Property is theft" comes from).

Just as the government enforces the property laws necessary for capitalism to work, the machines keep people from getting free from exploitation. The Matrix is a tool of oppression, much like the government and is like propaganda.

In case you haven't guessed, I'm an anarchist.

Yes there are alot of governmental and political ideas and themes shown and tested in the trilogy. Mostly only the first movie deals with anarchist ideas.

That's what I was thinking. Hierarchy is a lot more prominent in the other two movies.

...was melted down under the power of the greens (not exactly the matrix - but allmost) and subverted under the sistem rules - there you go mate, anarchism endures untill you find the first Grand in your way, then capitalism rules...
