merovingian is an old "The one" program, he has now no use and was in danger of deletion. He has now taken exile like the oracle explained. He holds the keymaker captive so he can get about like when he opens the door and disappears. Persiphone wants to be kissed like she used to when he was "the one" and thats why she asks neo to kiss her.

She is also pissed off that he has gone to get it on with the women he gave the cake to.
