»Would Matrix be addictive?«

Say for instance, that the tech is so advanced that we could create something like the matrix, or a digital world where one could enter and live their dream. Wouldnt that be great? I could have sex with beautiful actresses and smoke pot all day, own ferraris and etc.

To me its a like a game, its just that you are playing the game with your own rules, meaning u still control what you will be experiencing. You are in a state of dream, but u r concious about it...u know whatever u r eating, drinking or feeling is artificial, but just like in a wet dream...u would still get wet right u know that u r not really eating a steak...but it sure as hell tasted like the best steak uve ever eaten.

Given this possibility, what say u? How much time would u spent in such an outlet? Would the govt ever allow something like this to be developed?

I've stated in another thread somewhere that if the tech got to the point were you could enter a simulation and not tell the difference between it and the real world then it will be used by the military and science comunity first and then filter down to the public for entertainment uses.

You con almost hear the powers that be rubbing their hands together thinking how can we make this addictive to the point were we subdue the entire populations of countries without even firing a gun or droping a bomb.

I personally think that it would be highly addictive...I mean...looks at my post total!

If I can come to this forum for 8 months...and this is only a forum...get my point..
It would be fun, I know what I'd like to do first!
