In one versoin of the script it's software to hack some government system or other, something to do with parking tickets or wheel clamps.

But it was an early script with plenty more differences so this doesn't mean it's what the film version was meant to contain.

Whatever it was it was expensive, Neo gets a fistfull of green for it.

I'm thinking that it was some kind of illigal software, or some kind of illigal program. It's not necessarily something sex related, it could be something that could hack into other's computers. Maybe it was a copy of something that someone else was writing (say a program or something), but hadn't completed or copywrited. Neo could have hacked into their computer and gotten it for them.
