Ok first of all fantastic matrix news.

UBI soft are no longer in charge of the Matrix Online!
UBI soft have gone! Bye bye!

Why is this good news? Because the company in charge of the game is now SEGA!

Don't be fooled by the failure of their dreamcase console! Sega haven't lost their touch at making games. The new F Zero game on the gamecube is just one example of a a superb game created by Sega. I personally am MUCH more excited about Matrix Online with Sega at the helm. The only problem might be if they have come onto the project too late. The day of release ever approaches....

The other piece of news is not really matrix based, but it is about a new set of movies being released. Some people were remembering another religious allegory story on one of the threads recently.

The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe is being made into a movie! And there is every intention to make the whole Narnia series into a series of movies - it should be so cool!

lol sega makes childish games for children and retarded adults while on the other hand ubi soft reigns supreme when it comes to fun and realistic gaming (splinter cell, raven shield) come to mind...how is this good news?

How did I know that your post was going to be whining like this John?

I should know by now.... SEGA are excellent. For Smiths sake I still have my old Megadrive.... It's 14 years old and it works a treat... Cool

C'mon people let's get it straight.

sega.com... have taken over as publisher, that means they handle the marketing and distribution. Any further "influence" may well be a hinderence to the people doing the work.

The game has always and continues to be produced by lith.com....

And as to it being news, well it's not the matrix-explained.com... Wink

P.S. The Dreamcast console didn't fail, it was mis-sold and then withdrawn - Not a good example of Sega's Marketing skills.

P.P.S Ubisoft publishes some of the best games out. I mean C'mon, Far Cry has to be the best FPS yet.

Good one, nocturnal. Nothing like a little "I know you are but what am I?" to get things started off right.

How many people forgot I still posted here?

The Lion, the witch and the Wardrobe tv show was just AWFUL.That little buck tooth girl annoyed me so much, the costumes were so half-arsed and the weapons were even more half-arsed, looks like one of the staff just quickly scooted down to the nearest toy store and grabbed the first thing they saw.

Well..... here I am.

HA, well work has been hectic for about 3 weeks non-stop. But I've got a 4 hour break, so why not spend it being lazy and accomplishing nothing.

I share your feelings for the removal of eyes and using hot pokers when it comes to such tripe and nonsense. The movie COULD be good, but then, alot of books to movies are ruined. e.g. LotR - Return of the King

Havn't seen the movie and have no time for reading the book. Someone give me a good critique and review on the book please, I need to know if it's really worth reading when I get the time. Much appreciated.

Sega, as a company, is a load of rubbish. Anything that says Sega on it needs a good kicking.

Monolith, as a design company, is top notch.

Remember, however, that there is an issue of "online experience" rather than just design.

I don't know of anything that Monolith have made but I know that Sega are responsible for several top-notch games:
F Zero GX
The Sonic Games
Jet Set Radio Future

And of course the ONLINE GAME Phantasy Star Online is superb!

Don't forget that Matrix Online will be BOTH Sega AND Monolith. The name that won't be on the game is UBI Soft who make the, occaisionally alright, Rayman games.

For Hungarian Kid: The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe book, by Lewis carrol, is a light fantasy adventure

(i) You call it "emotionally powerful" and "light fantasy adventure". Which one is it? I would suggest the former. It was one of the most moving stories for me as a child and I still remember it fondly for its ability to move me.

(ii) Lewis Carrol! It's by C.S. Lewis you idiot! The difference being that Lewis Carrol writes crap and C.S. Lewis is an awesome writer. ("Alice" from 'Alice in Wonderland' is one of the most unbelievable characters I have ever read in a book. She just irritated me intensely. Carroll may have clever ideas - but he just couldn't give his main character any... well, character!)

As a book, it is considered a valuable classic. It is best compared to books such as "The Secret Garden" and "Harry potter".

Harry Potter is very poorly written. The Narnia Chronicles by C.S. Lewis are far better written and, quite frankly, far more imaginative....

To put it simply. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has been voted one of top 100 novels ever written.

Sega is good, but we are yet to find out if they're good at MMORPG's.
