Yea that’s an interesting point. But it was the ORACLE primarily who guided Neo towards the Source also identifying Neo’s dream of the door made of light and then asks him what happens next. So it is already perceived that he will arrive there and it seems reasonable that the Arc knows this too, although baffled as to how.

Oracle: Yes. Where you must go. Where the path of the One ends. You've seen it, in your dreams, haven't you? The door, made of light. What happens when you go through the door?

Again this seems to be part of the mystery of it all as confirmed by Morpheus...

I have the answer to that "paradox". Don't forget that the Architecte said that all the humans of Zion should die, there was no question of letting a witness like Trinity or Morpheus.

The Architecte read Neo's reactions and understood that his love for Trinity was preventing him from choosing to reload. So he showed her dying, hoping that Neo would finally accept to reload since Trinity was goign to die for sure (she already had a bullet in her heart when he was showing her, it was not the falling that was supposed to kill her).

The only mistake that the Architecte made, was that Neo's willpower would allow him to bring Trinity from the death.

So, you see, the Architecte tried to use Trinity's death as an argument to make Neo realize that he had no reasons anymore to refuse to reload...

....but it was futile cause Neo wouldn't have listened anyway.

Apoc, you're da man ! This is the first time I read a good explanation about the Architecte showing trinity dying ... I was focusing on her fall without realizing that, for the Arch., she was already death because of the bullet

Also, I didn't realize that trinity was supposed to be killed after the reloading. Nice thought !
