I just like 'geek' i guess because it calls to mind the 'computer geek,' and it sounds like 'meek'... If this Bill Gates era is any indication, the Beatitude is true: the geeks truly shall inherit the earth...

I have no idea what this thread started as, and i don't feel like tracing it back right now, so I'll just address the topic apparently at hand:

What movie scared me? Gothika. I don't generally get scared by films, but Gothika gave me restless sleep that night....

Now, you wanna talk about scary books.... I had to put The Exorcist down at one point! It was a fantastic read, and I didn't want to put it down, but there was a couple of times in the story when I just had to stop and do something else!

Hehe just remembered getting really scared by Roald Dahl's The Witches when I was younger.

I don't generally like movies which scare me, but I think Event Horizon is the exception. It is so gripping (with a "by the throat" kind of grip) and clever (I found the whole idea of a ghost ship in space to be an amazing idea) that I couldn't help but continue watching as horror after horror was presented to me. Sam Neil is an awesome Australian actor and so far this is my favourite movie of his.

Gothika didnt scare me. it was well made and such. the old movie silver bullet scared me half to death when i was a kid.

Silver bullet was the film with the turbo charged wheelchair?

I just thought id point out the obviousnes of your statement.
I dont mind being called anything really. If people try to stereotype me its their ignorance not mine. I think people call people geeks if they think they are smarter than them, so i guess its a kind of compliment.
And as for nerd, im not 'feeling the pharell steez'.

Never mind, I was saying i dont like word nerd. 'Pharell' is in a group called n*e*r*d which I dont really like either.
