[Matrix Reloaded]
Niobe: "I remember. I remember you used to dance. I remember you were pretty good."
Morpheus: "There are some things in this world, captain Niobe, that will never change."
Lock: "Niobe!"
Morpheus: "Some things do change."

When this is said by Rama Kandra I think i am getting something mixed up...

When Rama Kandra said that does he mean "your world" is the matrix or is he referring to the real world (with zion and all that)?

And when in the 2nd matrix movie, it is said that obsolete programs may either return to the source and be deleted or go into "exile".

So is Exile another matrix or is Exile the matrix?

I believe that Sati is an exile like Oracle, Cain, Abel, Twins, Persephone, and Merovingian. Following what I believe that would mean that exile is what machine programs who are not meant to be in the matrix call it.

You are right about all except the Oracle. Thats where we are not certain.

Exile simply means exile in the Matrix. Those programs which choose not to return to the Source hide in the Matrix. They are chased by the agents. Exile is not another place but is a condition. Smith is also an exile now by the way.

As for the two worlds, it is my hypothesis that the second world is the real world; or more specifically, the machine world. I recommend you read this thread from the beginning:

Trinity: Do you know what happened to Neo?
Oracle: Yes. He's trapped in a place between this world (Matrix) and the machine world

Rama-Kandra: This place is nowhere. It is between your world and our world

When Rama Kandra says your world he means the matrix. if you listen when neo is talking to sati she askes if he is from the matrix and neo says yes. So when rama is speaking he refers to the matrix as neo's world.

About the exile thing, i was really confused after Reloaded because when the oracle is explaining everything and says "they can choose to hide here" i wasnt sure where here was because who knows where the oracle was hiding. Those doors coulda brought neo newhere. But the train station clarifies everything. Apparently The Matrix (the only matrix) is where machines go to hide from their own hyper efficency.

nd i also do not believe the oracle is and exile. She's supposed to be there, she is the control the machines have over the one. She created it and shes who makes sure it makes the right decicions (good thing neo is so easily persuaded to do what she says).

Well, he's not part of the system anymore. But he's also more than an exile.

Neo is also `unplugged' now. Remember that. But that doesn't necessarily mean that he isn't part of the equation. Read these lines again-

Smith: Afterward, I knew the rules, I understood what I was supposed to do but I didn't. I couldn't. I was compelled to stay, compelled to disobey.

That indicates that he chose not to return to the Source. The Agent also recognizes Smith as an exile. But Smith also says this-

Smith: But as you well know, appearances can be deceiving, which brings me back to the reason why we're here. We're not here because we're free, we're here because we're not free. There's no escaping reason, no denying purpose

He feels there is no escape from purpose. So he has found his own higher purpose. A purpose which is dictated by him, not by the system.

yes i also believe Smith is an exile... after he was destroyed by Neo he should have been deleted, but instead he chose not to.. this is what he is talking about in the dialogue prior to the burly brawl.

I agree to a point in the theory of Smith being an Exile. Smith IS and ISN'T an Exile.

Yes Smith would be concidered an exile after his destruction by the hands of Neo in the hallway, and yes as it has been written in a previous post. Smith knew what he was suppost to do if he was deleted, but he stayed inside the Matrix, but this then comes into the second part, He is Neo's other half, his opposite so that was why he was compeled to stay, hence his statement before the burly brawl.

I believe that smith needed to stay inside the matrix in order to keep the balacne between himself and Neo.
